And I'm gonna check out the CVS site too cuz we have a grand opening this weekend at the CVS that just opened down the street.. as much as i don't want to promote it (as it'd only bring more commercial to my neighborhood), i need some makeup ![]()

| Sorry, Kristie. I just read that you had to have your coupon printed before the 16th, but the coupon was good until the 31st. I will try to give a bigger heads up on that. If you go to CVS, remember to print off the 3.00 off 15 or 2.00 off 10 coupon on a fullcup. This really does help out in the long run of savings. |

| What do you mean a 10.00 off or 20.00 off coupon as well? I must be missing out on some coupon! If you have some of those covergirl, loreal, or revlon coupons from the sunday paper, you can use those on the clearance items (at most cvs', but it depends on the specific store...some stores will say sure and other's will say not on clearance, but it doesn't hurt to ask). For instance, say the cover girl mascara was 1.20 on clearance, There was a 1.00 off any covergirl product in the paper awhile back, so you would be getting the mascara for .20 cents plus tax. But, if you are planning on buying at least 10.00 worth of products and have coupons for all of them, you could walk away paying very little. So, let's say you buy 10 mascaras at 1.20 each. (Yep, I know you don't buy 10 mascaras, but I am just keeping it simple). You have 10 of the 1.00 off coupons. So, you first give them your order. Then you give them your 2.00 off 10 cvs coupon. Then, you give them your manufactor's coupon. Basically, you end up getting everything for free except for tax. Depending on how much make-up you plan on buying, as long as you spend over 10.00 before any manufactor's coupons, you can give them the 2.00 off 10 coupon. If you spend over 20, use the 4.00 off 20 coupon. Combined with their deals and the manufactor's coupons, you might actually just have to pay pennies for your make-up, if you can find the right shade on clearance! |

| Oh, and as far as the brands on sale, there are a bunch of the brands on sale, but it is definetly random. I saw covergirl, neutrogena, loreal, and revlon. Some were full price, and some were ringing up 50 or 75% off. |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | no, your not missing out on a coupon.. the CVS we have up here is in their "grand opening" stage, so they've put out this mega coupon to come shop in their store... I'd love to spread the wealth with it but it even says on the coupon that it's only for this store ![]() it would be awesome to pay pennys for makeup!! ![]()

| Kristie, I think the deal is still good for the clearance make-up tomorrow, but since your store is new, I don't know if they will have any on clearance. In tomorrow's paper, there are 1.00 coupons for cover girl though. I'm not sure what make-up you are looking for...? Also, starting for tomorrow's ad week, cover girl mascara, shadows, liner, lip, ...are buy one get one half off. Then, you spend 15 in certain covergirl products--check out their ad to see what products count---, you get 5 ecb's (coupon to use for future purchase at cvs)...print off 3.00 off 15.00 off a full cup site. Maybelline is buy one get one free. What kind do you use? Last edited by Regina; 01-19-2008 at 06:24 PM. |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Ok, probably a studpid question...you know the coupons that you can get out of the newpaper, can I use them at CVS? I was just there last night and yes, did stock up on makeup (a lot of 50% off) but I have a coupon for $1.50 off Revolon from the newspaper that I clipped not too long ago? I mainly use the coupons at the grocery store, what other common stores can you use them at? My Food Lion doesn't even sell makeup so I can never use the makeup coupons... ![]()

| You can use manufactor's coupons any place that excepts them---manufactor's coupons are the ones that you get out of the paper on Sunday or in some magazines. CVS excepts manufactor's coupons, Walgreens, Grocery stores, etc. If you go to CVS, use a manufactor and one of the cvs coupons for 2.00 off 10 or 4.00 off 20, etc. (these are found at the 2 sites I mentioned) Just make sure you use your cvs card too...better savings. Walgreens will except a manufactor coupon AND their own coupon on the same product. So, say I am buying cover girl mascara at Walgreen's. Today their was a coupon in the sunday paper for 1.00 off covergirl mascara. Let's say Walgreens has a coupon for 1.00 off cover girl products in their easy saver brochure (found in the front of the store by the weekly ad...I don't know what coupons are in there right now, I am just using a hypothetical). I would buy my cover girl mascara, use the manufactor's coupon for 1.00 off, and then use the walgreen's easy saver coupon for another 1.00 off. So, you would be getting it for 2.00 cheaper. Publix will do this too, as long as their (publix) coupon doesn't say cannot be combined with another coupon. We don't have Kroger, Meijer, or Giant Eagle down here, so I am not sure on their policy anymore. Kroger has coupons you can print online. I know most stores up north will double coupons 50 cents and under. Sometimes, they triple coupons, and sometimes they super double coupons (meaning they will even double 1.00 coupons at different times). Some stores will take competitor coupons too, you just have to ask their policy....usually this takes a quick 1-2 minute call to ask what the policy is. Try to combine deals with coupons, and then their own store coupons for the best deal possible. Try to stock up, if you have the room. I don't know how many times I have paid full price for a razor because I ran out and needed it...no sale, no coupon, etc. I am getting smarter on stocking up now, and I found the really nice fusion razors for my hubby last month for free...the ones that typically cost 9.99 to 11.99. I bought some women's bic soille razors for either free or 99 cents. Last month, target had baby wipes for free with coupon, so I stocked up then. I just stock up on things that I know I will use, and obviously, that don't expire. One of the other things is: if you aren't going to use it, donate it, or have someone you can give it to, don't buy it. Sometimes, in the past, I would buy things because they were such a good deal...then they go to waste, and even if it was a quarter, I could have spent it somewhere else. So, that was the long answer...the short answer is YES! use your manufactor's coupons at cvs. |
