| Admin/Owner ![]() | Does anyone have garage storage via wood cabinets and all....how bout the epoxy flooring? how bout ceiling storage or hanging bikes? looking at possibly adding that instead or "as well". we have 3 bikes that could be hung, just no idea on how to get it done or if it's worth buying. I have 3 consultations this week to get some storage put into our garage and get the floor refinished and just wanted to get reviews on how you like your garage cabinets.. what kind you have.. what's been a definite benefit or minus....maintenance/repair or anything you can give me so i'll have a heads up when i meet for these consultations. I really appreciate the help!! have always wanted garage storage simply because we really don't have any in the house. I also hear getting the floor epoxy'd helps with oil seepage.. but what else does it help with that it's worth that add'l $$? Thanks!

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I don't have that kind of garage, but for what its worth, my dad is in the garage ALL the time, and he doesn't have the epoxy floor thing. He is always out there working on cars with oil and everything all over and its just a plain cement floor. They also have cabinets and things, but my dad built those he didn't get them installed, so I don't have much insight on that. Good luck!

| My neighbor has her garage floor done. She bought hers from a home improvement store and did it herself. Whatever it was, they included "glitter" for the floor, which she chose not to use. But it looks really nice and keeps the floor clean from stains. But, if you choose to do it yourself, stop the epoxy where your garage door closes. She ran hers out to where the garage floor stops and the driveway starts and you can see about an inch or two of the light blue/grey floor when her garage door is closed. IMO, it looks kind of silly. As for cabinets in the garage, J wants to get some too. He was looking into a set from Sears (it included a very small work bench). I thought it was a little pricey for what we were getting. So that purchase is on hold. Jen |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | Well, i got 2 price quotes today... one from more of a "closet & organization" company (not name brand) and one from Premier Garage which typically works on garages... For the cabinets i'm looking at, they quoted me in between $3900 and $4400...I always thought garage cabinets would be cheaper in the $1500 to $2000 range, not near 5K...so i wonder if it's because of our stupid zip code again that these prices are high?! for the flooring, $1600... yikes!! i'm really wondering how *much* value things like this really add to a house - anyone know?

| Admin/Owner ![]() | well, i'm getting my cabinets in this week!! paying a bit overprice for them in my personal opinion but it's the company that looked good, sounded good, didn't have any BBB problems etc decided to forgo the flooring for now, the company that i'm using for the cabinets is just too expensive for flooring and so i have to research that all over again.
