Default A warning about Pledge

Last week, when we were leaving for the airport, Mark split his pants. Earlier that day, there was sticky residue on the floor by the front door (from juice boxes, most likely) and he cleaned it with Pledge! What was he thinking?! I nearly broke my leg twice from slipping, and hollered about it both times. Anyhow, we had to leave for the airport, and he's standing in a Pledge spot, struggling to get the she-octopus into her shoes. He zigs, his pants zag. I hear the rip & he says, "I just split my lucky pants!" I'm laughing (feeling slightly satisfied that he now understands why he should not clean the wood floor with Pledge) and finally managed to say, "You better not mean that you get lucky every time you wear those pants!" He says, "Of course not!" and that he's worn them every time he has a test or check during his upgrade training, and what's he going to do now for his checkride next week? (He's slightly supersticious.) So here I am, sitting in the backseat of the truck, feeding Reichen his bottle then I mend the split seam in Mark's Lucky Pants. Nothing more dangerous than a sewing needle when you're being bounced around the E470 at 80 miles an hour! ...Except for a hardwood floor that's been sprayed with Pledge.
