Lurker ...Possibly HK trip

We've been advised that we should go to Hong Kong for our vacation at the end of the month (this month)... if we were to do that, what would be the places you would suggest for hotel, things to do (besides meeting you for dinner one night)? is it really expensive to visit there or just to live there?

does anyone know who would have the best non-rev availability out there? Delta doesn't fly there (but they do fly to Tokyo and that's a 2nd option).
