Thanks everyone! Steve and I are thrilled! Not just because it is a girl, but because now that we know it feels so much more real. I really needed that after having the miscarriage last year. I was just having so much trouble bonding and now I feel like this is really going to happen. As for names, we like Molly, Lindsay, and Whitney right now. I am sure there will be some additions/deletions before it is all said and done!

Thanks again everyone. I also have a pregnancy question. I am 19 1/2 weeks pregnant right now. In the beginning (about weeks 8-12) I was nauseous most of the day, but did not have much vomiting. From 12-16 weeks, I felt great. At about 16 weeks, I had some food aversions and started getting heartburn. This week, I started getting severe heartburn and have had two days where I have been very nauseous (accompanied by severe vomiting). It is way worse than it ever was in the beginning. Is this normal? I was a little worried the first time, but it was morning and I had just taken my vitamins (washed down with pomegranate juice), so I wrote it off as being either the vitamins or the juice on an empty stomach. Today it was late evening and I had eaten dinner hours before and had a snack of ice cream. I had heartburn almost immediately, so I took Pepcid Complete & then lied down for a bit. I got up about an hour later, vomiting. I am sorry if TMI, but I am a little worried.

With my son (he was born after a series of m/c) I had a hard time bonding. I didn't even realize it, but I remember the day so clearly. He was almost 6 months old, and I was rocking him to sleep, and I looked now at him and burst into tears b/c I knew that I loved him, or i guess i should say that i finally let myself fully love him.

as far as the heart burn, i would check with your dr. abt the pepcid, i was on a tums only diet. but all of them are different. just FYI if you are ever in in a pinch and can't get ahold of your dr. you can get on theinternet and look up the list of FDA approved drug for pg. I was in WY over thanksgiving and got ahorrible cold and couldn't get ahold of my dr. I looked up which drugs were listed in the safe catergory for pg. Of course i guess i should add that it is only a short term fix until you can get ahold of your doctor, and of course the fewer meds you take the better.

also. after that we made a list of all the "sistutsions" we could think of (heartburn, colds, allergies, can't sleep, diarhea ect...) and had our doctor tell us what she wanted us to do or take for those sistuations. you know those things never happen durning office hours.
