Default its a girl

We had our 20 week US yesterday and its a girl. I am really excited, Lance was hoping for a boy, but is excited too. She is breached and doesn't have much fluid, (which is somewhat expected, Trayton didn't either, which is why we was taken early) I have fluid on my kidneys, so we may have to put a drain in, but as far as baby she looks really healthy.

We are working on names and hae it narrowed down to:

Stevie Rae, and Lacey Allen

We are also working on the due date, I am so stressed about that. I like the friday before Trady's spring break, so we could all have some time together as a family, and he wouldn't feel like he had to go to school and every one else got to stay home. But that is pretty close to our due date, and Trady came six weeks early. So i don't know if we will make it that far. Maybe we should pick something closer to the 38th week. Evertime I think about having this baby without lance I end up crying for a hour. There is just so much that can go wrong. I need him to be there

YAY! Congratulations on your baby girl! That is terrific news!

We still haven't decided on a name.....he will be here is about 10 weeks, so we still have some time!

Is there anything they can do about low fluid? Or is it not low enough to be a big problem?

Congrats! I love having one of each! That sounds like a lot to think about with your planning, maybe you could have 2 due date plans, aim for one if you don't think you'll make it that far, and then if you are doing well at that point, you could try to aim for spring break.

I like Lacey Allen as well. So precious!! I am sure everything will be just fine. Would your hubby be able to do anything like family medical leave around the time of your due date since you are having problems with the fluids and the baby being breach?? If that's an option, maybe he can have it start around your due date and that way he will be there for sure and you won't have to worry. I don't know how the family medical leave act works for the birth of a child though. It might be an option though. What company does he work for?? Do they have any type of leave through the company that he could take?? I am sure you have already thought of all of this, but again, I am sure everything will work out just fine. Let us know your progress. I always love to hear about baby stuff. My husband and I have decided to wait to have kids for a couple of years, but sometimes I think I might want one now. Oh well, I will just fight the urge by listening to everyone's stories on here.

fluids not low enough to cause problems yet, i would have liked to see more. We will have to keep an eye on it. The fluid on my kidneys isn't to bad yet and besides a dull ach its not giving me to much problems, that can turn on a dime, so I will have to be carefull.

Lance doesn't get FMLA until his year ann, which are missing by one month...great planning hun. but the chief told him just to call when things get close and they will put him on leve for a week. then I worry about is if the baby goes into distress then I have to be induced, right now, so if he is out on a flight, we have to get him back in time. With Trayton they did stress tests every other day, so maybe we if we are heading in that direction we will have a heads up. They (the docs) are planning on developing bab'y lungs so she will be ready if she has to come early, and hopefully keep her out of the NICU. Trayton only had to stay for a few hours.

Stevie Rae Vaugen is the only reason I have resverations about that name. I love the name Stevie (yes I first heard it from Stevie Nix, but not naming after her per say) but I have my mom's middle name Rae, and want to pass it down .

Congratulations on finding out it is a girl. Oh how exciting!
So, what kind of precaution can you take, at home, if any to help your kidneys?
Everything will work out, the key is to try not to stress about it. Hubby will be there...we can hope. I stressed and look what happened. lol But, all ended well.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, boy, it goes pretty fsat from here.

HUGS!!!

Lacey Rae sounds nice, too! What is the story/attachment behind Allen?

Daddy is Lance Allen
so baby girl would be named after daddy, just changing the Lance to lacey.
In Lance's family they are all LD's. e.i... lance's dad is Leslie D, uncle is Lester D. Cousin is Levi D, and Lance of course, so although its a girl we like the idea of keeping with the LD's
