Default let the countdown begin!

Holy cow! It just hit me that we are almost to THE DAY! I'm 32 weeks. It really didn't occur to me how much, I mean how little time I/we have left til our little girl gets here until I looked at dh's schedule for next month.
He has a really great schedule, but has to work Halloween. No big deal I know. BUT...When you look at it that way, and then see that I am due on the 16th or soof NOV, which would make it 40 weeks, I've had both babies at or around 37 weeks, I'm panicking! What if he is gone? <deep breaths> He could be gone.
We are planning to induce to make it easier for me and him with his commuting and bidding. He wants to be home an entire 4 weeks of leave after!
We still have to paint the nursery. Yeah, seems like the eagerness wore off after the first two to get it done right away, lol.
The crib has been ordered and will be delivered in a week or 2. The baby shower is on the 7th. I won't buy and extra stuff really til I know what I need. My mom has been busy knitting and crocheting an outfit and blanket for everyday of the week, month! lol As fast as she makes them, my dad mails them!
My dh, Eric, is still in denial of time. I made him take me to get the baby carrier and stroller last wek cause I was NOT going to have him pick one up if I went into labour early. He still thinks it is impossible fo rme to go this early. It could happen. I'm trying to stay calm, but really, based on my calculations, I have something like 5 weeks!

Oh Brenda- I am sooo excited for you! I can't wait to see pics of the little one!

Nick and I just talked about kids this morning. I know it's a bit premature since I'm not even pg, but we talked about what would happen if he couldn't be there for the birth. I guess it's one of the many things that makes it tough being with a pilot, right?

Keep us updated!

Brenda,
I can totally relate. My Due date is 10/23 but DS was 5 days early and my doc thinks I might go even earlier than that. So, I'm giving myself 3 weeks to get all our stuff together. I keep reminding myself that all we really need is some blankets and my boobs (and the car seat) but still, there is SO MUCH TO GET DONE!!!!!

Hang in there

Jackie

Blankets and boobs! I love it!
But I don't even know what to do with the boobs! The breastfeeding class we are signed up for is on the 10th of October. He finishes a trip and will non rev home from ATL, be in EVV at 4 45 PM and class starts at 6 PM! I am so nervous!
10/23 is really right around the corner, WOW! I cannot wait to see pics of our little ones.

Hmm, talking about kids? How long do you think you'll wait after you get married? oooohhhhh, how exciting!

Eric hasn't missed one yet! lol Of course he wasn't commuting either, ughh. Maybe on the days he's home we should just have oodles of nookie to stir things up so that he is here? lol

So you didn't breastfeed your other kids? You might want to become an ivillage member and check out their breastfeeding boards. They were very helpful to me with DS. DH didn't go to my class, but he was very supportive. It can be tough in the beginning with engorgement and sore nipples but that goes away. I was actually kind of sad when DS weaned himself at 15 months.

In terms of "stuff" you need, my mom has picts of all of us in a wicker laundry basket and don't you know my newest nephew sleeps best in his? lol

I did finally have a little anxiety attack last night. DH got his IOE schedule and the last one is scheduled 10/14. I think we're going to have to talk to someone about that!

I can't wait to see all our little ones either! Especially since mine is trying to punch out my right side today!!! LOL

the baby boom is about to begin! with us DS was 6 weeks early, and they are planning on this one being early to. Will will induce anytime after 38 weeks. but I am worried about this one comming before the induction. I thought of having a back up labor partner just incase.

Wow, it's hard for me to believe that the time is fast approaching for our Baby Boom! Remember to get as much rest now and don't worry about the nursery being finished. She'll probably be in your room initially, no?
