So many babies arriving.....just to keep it all straight what are the due dates and how many babies? So exciting and Amanda what did you decide for your wedding plans. You have so many awsome places near by to have a wedding(Longwood Gardens).....I have been to interfaith weddings where both paster and rabbi was present they all ended in breaking the glass.....

I just had Eric bring down the bassinet and moses basket. My MIL's friend just made a special knitted liner for it. I already have the bumper liner and ribbon.
This time around, we will have the baby with us. Eric is telling me a few months, very unlike him to suggest such a thing! Maybe because we have the kids on the second level of the house and it would be too much for me to be going up and down all night.

I cleaned up the role call for Preggo Moms in the Announcements section and gave it a bump. By my count we're at eleven I think. I'm up next for delivery.

I was actually kind of sad when DS weaned himself at 15 months.

In terms of "stuff" you need, my mom has picts of all of us in a wicker laundry basket and don't you know my newest nephew sleeps best in his? lol

I did finally have a little anxiety attack last night. DH got his IOE schedule and the last one is scheduled 10/14. I think we're going to have to talk to someone about that!

I can't wait to see all our little ones either! Especially since mine is trying to punch out my right side today!!! LOL

I did not breastfeed cause I was going back to work. I didn't think I could handle trying to pump in between flights. With William we didn't just becasue the anxiety level in the house with trying to chase a 14month old was too much for me and I never did any research on it. So, I went with convenience. It worked great for me and my anxiety.
Dh is very gung ho about breastfeeding this time around. I am so nervous. I don't think I would be very graceful at it. I see how some moms are great and seem very natural at it. I think I can do it, I'm just very modest. I know, it's a natural thing. I'm just trying to get over some fears and one of them is not knowing what I am doing. I need a manual or something, lol. Do they have a breastfeeding for dummies to read? I've done some reading online and think I can do it, but then, I think of just getting bottles and formula. I REALLY want to try it for at least 4 months. Did I mention I am the biggest baby when it comes to any sort of pain? And the thought of having a toothless baby gumming at my most sensitive area runs chills down my spine? lol

Oh my gosh! Ummm, 10/14 is not going to work. I think just with all the worrying about IOE you'll end up going into labour early. I hope dh will be there for you.
Do you have a back up partner for delivery?
I do, my girlfriend will be there just in case Eric is in Jamaica or something and can't get back. I will personally get on the horn and call every single person at the company to get my dh home! But then I wonder, how will i really know it is time? I say that cause i went to the hospital 6 or 7 times with false labour. Very painfull contractions but not enough to keep me there permanently. Tomororw i have my ob appt, we'll see what she says.
Okay, no time to start panicking over that right now. We still have a bit of time. You go first then me!

I guess the fact that I'm not terribly modest helps, but remember there really isn't much to see once the kiddo is latched on and your shirt is pulled back towards their face. In terms of the gumming thing -that didn't happen until much later. They are all about sucking -not biting. I think your goal of four months is great. I am VERY confident that if you make it through the first month (actually probably 2 weeks) it will be all downhill (easy) from there. The hardest part for me was having confidence that baby was getting enough. Its not like with a bottle where you can see just how much you're getting into them. But they'll teach you to keep track of wet & dirty diapers as well as weight gain to be sure everything is on track. You also might want to make a note to see if it is realistic to expect a breastfed baby to not weigh as much as a bottle fed -I want to say that is the case and you'll need to expect that. Is your pediatrician supportive? Does the office have a lactation consultant? Either way, you might want to look up the Le Leche League online LLLI | Home and see if you can get to some meetings and set up some home visits. They are fantastic. I called their national line serveral times.

Yeah, that 10/14 date isn't going to work. DH said he'd call about it tomorrow. He has one the end of next week out of Palm Springs CA (where he used to be based) for two days that I'm okay with, and then another out of Denver the first week of Oct and I'm still okay with that. My mom comes out 10/6 to help with DS and I've got two really special friends here I can always count on. So, its going to be okay. Its going to be okay, its going to be okay.........if I say it enough... hahahahaha.
