| It so stupid but I am so proud of myself. Read a couple of weeks ago about salt (plain old ordinary table salt) made for a great and cheap weed killer. I bought .99$ worth, three large cylinders, and poured it on, pretty heavily, the grass that is growing up in the decortive rocks that make a pathway around our swimming pool. It worked! Killed all the unwanted grass in very short time. We had tried a couple of store bought weed killers, Ortho Weed Be Gone for brush from concentrate and another that you didn't have to mix that came with a spray pump. They didn't even phase the grass (probably because grass, to most people isn't a weed and chemical companies know that). I am thinking about buying some more to put on the weeds/grass that is trying to grow in the cracks of our driveway. It's cheap. It's gotta be better for the enviorment, though I wouldn't let my dogs taste it. And best of all, it works! |

| Good idea! Maybe I'll try it on our weeds! They are growing up through the asphalt and nothing seems to work..

| I poured it on pretty heavy and let mother nature deal with it. Of course, we have had summer thunderstorms almost once a week around here. So you are probably correct that it needs water to get down into the root system of the weeds/grass. |
