Default Weed killer

It so stupid but I am so proud of myself. Read a couple of weeks ago about salt (plain old ordinary table salt) made for a great and cheap weed killer. I bought .99$ worth, three large cylinders, and poured it on, pretty heavily, the grass that is growing up in the decortive rocks that make a pathway around our swimming pool. It worked! Killed all the unwanted grass in very short time. We had tried a couple of store bought weed killers, Ortho Weed Be Gone for brush from concentrate and another that you didn't have to mix that came with a spray pump. They didn't even phase the grass (probably because grass, to most people isn't a weed and chemical companies know that).

I am thinking about buying some more to put on the weeds/grass that is trying to grow in the cracks of our driveway.

It's cheap. It's gotta be better for the enviorment, though I wouldn't let my dogs taste it. And best of all, it works!

Good idea! Maybe I'll try it on our weeds! They are growing up through the asphalt and nothing seems to work..

We need something that will kill the grass and weeds that grow up through our rock areas...I think i'll try that this weekend. I take it, it needs water in order to saturate itself into the ground though right?

I poured it on pretty heavy and let mother nature deal with it. Of course, we have had summer thunderstorms almost once a week around here. So you are probably correct that it needs water to get down into the root system of the weeds/grass.
