Default Cleaning overspray from pans?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to clean that sticky area on pans (ie cookie sheets) caused from over spraying the cooking spray? I am horrible at spraying too much when make cookies or heating canned biscuts. My favorite cookie sheet is quickly approach the point of being sacarficed for my over spray habit if I can't find some way to clean it.
