I think the hardships you go through to get a good flying job may contribute to pilots staying single a little longer than average, but I think it depends on the person when it comes to getting married. I love being married (most days ) and I along with 99% of the guys I fly with would never cheat on the road. For the guys I've flown with that have done things on the road (I haven't seen it, just been told their stories) it has been with escorts or random hook ups, which would be very easy to do for someone without a conscience. Most days there's barely enough time to eat at night, let alone any other activities. If you can't trust him on the road or he's giving you signs that you can't trust him I don't see how it could work. This career is already hard enough on everyone. As far as what we talk about on the long flights, you probably don't want to know. No matter the age boys never grow up. Usually it's stupid humor movies and tv shows, the good looking FBO girl, or our toys. Some of my more interesting ones involved flying with a swinger captain and hearing about The Lifestyle, or who got the sickest and in what country it happened. PS-My wife does wear the pants on our house |

Thanks everyone - I'm appreciating every word you have written and learning a lot. Big Sweetie - OMG/ROFLMAO! I knew that "skirt" remark would "go there"! JJDriver - Thanks for the male insight. It's what I came here for. Yeah, I probably don't want to know. We'll see each other this weekend for two days and I'll decide if he's a or an . Wish me luck!

I would have to agree. It's about the QOL more than the "girl in every port" idea for most pilots... That's why I like my man doing freight. Home every night... Now, if only I could get a flying job... But anyways, what did happen?? |
