| The Dating Game It's not easy dating a pilot...We've all been there at one time or another. If your currently dating a pilot of any age, no matter where he/she is in their career then you'll find this forum helpful. | Jetgirls Member | I recently asked my bf if he generally stays in the same hotel every time he has an overnight in a particular city and he said yes, always. That got me thinking that I should probably get the names of those hotels, on the off chance that I need to get in touch with him via a means other than his cell phone. THEN I wondered if it wouldn't be possible to occasionally (you know, like birthdays and such) send something to him at the hotel or have it waiting when he arrived. Anyone do/done this? |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | hmmm He works for TSA which is a regional... so although he may be staying at the same hotel now (as he's used to), they could always change the hotel if it becomes really bad or too expensive or overbooked, you name it. It's never bad to know what hotel pilot is staying in but i wouldn't even put money down that the hotel won't *ever* change or that he won't get rerouted one night. There were times i thought about sending packages or meeting him at his hotel only to find out he got rerouted. Cuz if you send a delivery and he ends up not going to that hotel, your package will most likely get lost or used by someone else. even sending a fedex package (which gets there next day) isn't guaranteed because you just never know.

| Jetgirls Member | Kristie, you are everywhere! I was just over in the introductions and you're posting there, too! I was thinking less of a package and more of flowers or take-out dinner or something like that. Not that it wouldn't be irritating if that stuff went astray, too, but less so than with an expensive gift. I hadn't really worked out the logistics of the idea yet, lol. I was just wondering if it was something anyone else had tried.

| Yeah I wouldn't trust it with delays and such and hotel changes - unless maybe its a 4 day layover where you are sure they will keep plans to stay at that hotel..my Sweetie sent me roses once on a Glasgow layover ..it was wonderful..but a little of a bear to travel home with them! ![]() |

| I sent a care package to the hotel while he was in Training...but then again I knew where he was for sure and he was certainly there for a good amount of time. I dont know if I'd trust mail/hotel front desk to get something to him on less than a 24 hour overnight. it's a great thought though!!! |
