Gift for SO's dad???

Okay so what do you think I should do???

We have been dating since December of last year. I have been to his dad's house once this past summer and we stayed there for a couple of days. I am going to stay there again for a week the end of December and begining of January. His family is great. I have meet everyone in his family except his mom because she lives in AZ and in the time that we have dated, he hasn't seen her. They all love me.....of course
I was thinking about getting them a gift. Even before I was planning to stay with them. I just thought that maybe it was the 'thing' to do I brought it up to SO and he was like 'well I am not getting your family anything so don't plan on me doing that' Okay I know that he does't like my family but keep that crap to yourself!!! It makes me mad when he slips in things like that....oh well enough side track on that.

So do you think I should get his family something for the holidays? Or do you think that might be weird???
I was thinking about sending them a gift basket from hickory farms or something. Not anything to extreme.
I don't know........what do you guys think?
