| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | John and I met through a mutual friend in college (his school was 100 miles from mine) and we chatted all night and then kept talking on AIM for the next few months and then for our first date he flew down and picked me up (like, 3 days after he got his instrument rating) and took me back to his home where i watched his band play and then we ended up talking all night and kissed for 3 hours and finally i went to bed in the guest room and he brought me breakfast in bed the next morning (ramen noodles...) |

| I had met my BF in November, but someone else (another male pilot-in-training) managed to convince me that my BF had a GF already. I was shocked when he called me one night out of the blue and asked what my plans were for the next day. I had agreed to judge a high school debate meet that would go until about 7 p.m., so he asked me out for coffee. I was a little wary because this guy supposedly had a girlfriend, so I didn't know if he was newly single or what... Anyway, I was wiped out after this debate meet, and then I had to change clothes and get all cute for a date, and I was soooo nervous about the circumstances and all that. I was ready about an hour early, so I called my best friend, who unbeknownst to me had been asked for her blessings prior to the date invitation. She told me like 80 times not to be nervous, and to just do what feels right. He picked me up at exactly 8 p.m. We went to a Starbucks in a strip mall, and we sat there until it closed for the night. We talked the whole time, non-stop. Halfway through the night, I remember thinking, "Holy cow, there's no awkward silences here. Aren't there supposed to be awkward silences on a first date? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I think it's a good thing." As he was taking me home, he said we needed to stop by his apartment because he had something for me. It was his much-treasured copy of Tuesdays with Morrie because he remembered I'd said I needed to read it. He took me home (I lived maybe two blocks away at the time, and that day, I'd gotten a letter saying I'd been approved for an apartment less than a block away from him), and he gave me a huge hug. He wouldn't kiss me, though -- that came after our second date. |

| Our first "date" was probably sitting on a bench at lunch during high school. We were in a dead-end, narrow German alley, trees behind us, and on the other side of the trees, train tracks. Where the alley turned into a road, the gas station was to the left and our high school was down the road a little on the right. We were drinking cans of Beam&Coke that we'd bought from the gas station and smoking cigarettes. We were a little late getting back to our midterms.

| Our first date was November, 1997. DH took me out to dinner in Old Town, Alexandria to a restaurant called the Fish Market, and then we walked around Old Town. I knew after the kiss on the first date he was the one!

| Our first date was when I met him. While I was visiting family on the west coast...my cousin from was there as well and she had met someone while she was there a few years before me, call him D! Well they wanted to go out, but felt bad for leaving me behind (I had no problem, I understand they wanted to be alone!)....so her guy called up a friend...who was too busy, didn't have time, etc but through a lot of persuading agreed to go out. I didn't want to go, neither did he! we didn't hit it off AT ALL. Infact I (not so kindly) shut him down, and didn't expect to see him again after that. What a first "date"! He offered to take us on a scenic flight and afterwards at dinner my cousin and D abandoned us so we had no choice but to talk! He offered even after I told him to shove it! Well I left back home shortly after... I gave him my email not really expecting anything. He ended up emailing me and here we are! I haven't thanked my cousin enough for dragging me along! |

| Lynsey, how funny, DH and I had out first date at Starbucks as well. He was just getting off work (we worked together at the time, he was a flight instructor and I was an admissions rep at Delta Connection Academy) and he waited out by my car on a bench so he wouldnt miss me to ask me out for coffee. I thought it was cute! and we talked forever and ever (but not until it closed) ![]() |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Our first date was on july 4th, 2006. We went to see fireworks together. We had only met the week before in my family's deli where I work so we spent the whole night under the fireworks getting to know eachother a little more, and we've been happily dating since then! Ever since the fireworks last year, we planned to go back to the same place to watch them this year...but unfortunately, due to training schedule, my BF was not able to come home...I'm sure you all know how that feels! BUT! luckily, the fireworks got rained out this year anyways and we got to see them the following weekend when he was finally home from training!! ![]() |

| Jetgirls Member | Our first date was supposed to be really short because I "had other things to do". aka wasn't supposed to be a date because of Dave...Dave wasn't my bf yet, but I wanted him to be. Will just wouldn't take no for an answer. We went and walked dogs together at the humane society. That was supposed to be it, but then we went to dinner, then played pool, then went to see a band play, then I fell asleep on his couch watching a movie. I woke up at 6 am panicked and not knowing where I was, but we had a GREAT time.
