| We first met at Phoenix airport! Let me back track a bit...We met online whilst my hubbie was doing the flight training part of his ATPL in Scottsdale - although we're both from the UK. He was a little homesick and a little bored (no TV!) and I was bored of dating the wrong men, so I went online looking for someone 'specific'! I didn't know he was a pilot at first. We clicked straight away. After our first conversation we spoke every day, no matter what time of day it was (crazy time difference) and we emailed and used MSN all the time. In the end we couldn't stand it any more - and so we decided I should come to visit! So I cancelled a skiing holiday and flew to Arizona instead. It was the best decision I have ever made. We just saw each other in the arrivals hall and it was sort of magnetic! We already knew we were in love, and we had a magic time out there. He proposed after three days! Two years later we were married... |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | I moved in the middle of high school. I was quiet and depressed because I missed all my friends. I went to a party and met a bunch of people. I was uncomfortable and he saw me standing by myself and said I could siit next to him. We chatted a bit. A few weeks later he rang my doorbell. I answered the door and there he was with a rose. He asked me to homecoming. I didn't even know his last name... We went on a few dates to a park near my house, then homecoming. It was a lot of fun. We have been together ever since! |

| Oh boy, this is fun...... I met my DH at a bar. I was nineteen, finishing up my 1st year of college. I had just broken up with my boyfriend and my best friend Kristle was meeting a Marine named Vince at a local club. She decided I needed to get out and basically made me go. Meanwhile, DH had broken up with his girlfriend and she had really ticked him off that day with a nasty letter. His roomates were friends with Vince and they all decided to go out, dragging DH with them. Obviously, neither of us were very interested in the opposite sex that night, and I say he blew me off when we met and he'll say I blew him off by checking out the cute guy behind him (Okay so I was but he'd blown me off first!). Anyway, later in the night, I stood at a 2nd story railing and heckled his dart throwing ability. He challenged me to a game and we had fun. Meanwhile, Kristle had decided to go back to their house (she was pretty promiscuous) and I wasn't comfortable with her going alone. I know, it was dumb and about halfway there I realized that I had put myself in exactly the situation my father had nightmares about. I became convinced that DH was going to pull over, drag me into the nearest field, rape and kill me. Thankfully, he did none of that and we talked until 4 am about family and his impressions of his neice and various pets just stole my heart. He really wanted a relationship and told me he loved me first. But I was focused on going home for the summer and resisted. But, I agreed to let him drive me home and I realized I was in love with him too on the way. We just celebrated 12 years together and have been married 7.5! Jackie |

| I was going to post earlier, but now I see that the thread has changed slightly so I will answer the newest thread of how we met. We actually met in High School, DH was a Senior and I was a Freshman at the time. The entire year I had shared a locker with a girlfriend of mine however in April we had a falling out and I was on my own to search for a new locker. Obviously this was not an easy task as it was so close to the end of the school year, but I managed to find one right above DH's. I was a nerdy Freshman always quick to my classes didn't really talk to people on the way to class (didn't want to be late) and go figure didn't talk to the boy who had a locker beneath mine. Well that was until that boy asked me to the Senior Ball. I totally thought he was kidding, maybe playing a joke on me with his buddies or something, but honored to be asked, I accepted the phone number. Remember I said that I was a nerdy Freshman, well...when I got home from school I looked up his last name in the phone book and verified his phone number. (Just wanted to make sure he was who he said he was ) Anyway he did call that afternoon as did his MOM. She talked with my parents and strongly reassured my parents that he taking me would only be as "friends". Well...long story made short- we went to that Senior Ball dance in 1990, and mine in 1993. We were married in 1995 and have been together 17 years this May. It's amazing how things have a way of working out. ![]() |

| Jetgirls Member | First date was when I was a senior in High School. I was going to my prom. Well my "original" date cancelled 2 days before. I had already bought a drop dead gorgeous dress. Looked at a million hair styles. Had my nails done that day. I was soooo upset. I had one a drawing at my school and got 2 free tickets to prom so atleast I wasnt out any money but....I decided to call J and see if he wanted to go. lol! He said yeah! He would love to! Little did I know he made alternate plans for us. He took me to my favorite restraunt (Cheesecake Factory) then we went to his place where he had rented my favorite movie. We laughed and stayed up til about midnight then he drove me home. It was a great night. Our next date was my high school graduation. lol. That is the night my grandfather said he knew I had found my someone. lol. I didnt really listen to him bc I was only 18! geeze! lol Well we have been together 3 yrs on May 1st. I know thats not a long time but we are hanging on strong! I will never forget the night of my senior prom. Dinner and a movie with Jim was a lot better than dinner with my senior class (they didnt allow dancing at my school).
