| The Dating Game It's not easy dating a pilot...We've all been there at one time or another. If your currently dating a pilot of any age, no matter where he/she is in their career then you'll find this forum helpful. A lot of experience from those who have *been there, done that* can be obtained in this forum. |

| There really is a forum for everything on the internet, isn't there? :-) I'm glad I found it. I've always had a rule against dating pilots but met one a few months ago that made me change my mind. We've been dating for three months and so far so good, but I'm a little unsure about this whole thing. Without going into too much identifying details, he's a regional captain based in a different city than we live in. Lots of commuting, which severely cuts down on time together. I'm a commercial pilot, but decided years ago not to fly for the airlines and now I work for a well known aviation company on the ground. It's great to finally be with someone who I have aviation in common with. Anyway, wanted to introduce myself, and if anyone has any advice for someone who always swore she'd never date a pilot, I'm open to it! |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | Welcome Rachel! Well, I never said i wouldn't date a pilot..in fact, i'd always liked aviation and it just kinda fit the mold when i met my, now, DH. funny when i think about it cuz i remember some plane flying really low over my house when i was mmmm maybe 15 or so and i remember hoping that one day, i'd meet a pilot and we'd just go from there! hahaha whodathunk!! ![]() I hardly ever get tired of traveling or hearing about aviation, the whole pilot thing, vents etc etc whereas DH would rather talk about anything but.... haha 3 months is a good foundation so far and it seems to me that you already know the drill since your a commercial pilot yourself! are you flying freight or corporate or staying firmly grounded? Welcome aboard again... it gets slow every now and then - i think cuz the weather is more outdoor friendly now - but feel free to help spice the place up every now and then! ![]()

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Welcome Rachel- I remember finding this website after dating my pilot for a few months. I knew we had a future together so I looked on the web and here I am 3 years later! My name is Amanda and my boyfriend works for Mesa. he just upgraded to captain on the ERJ out of IAD. We've done the living together thing (in Scottsdale) and we've also had our share of living apart. What can I say, I'm used to it now. We're both from the PHL area so I may go back to the East coast to join him at some point. I don't have an aviation backgroud; I work in finance and have a few other jobs so I can retire early. Welcome to the group! Amanda |

I love to hear what is going on...and all the gossip! DH just says to me "do we really have to talk about my work...." He hates talking about it on his days off, I think some of it is just too depressing....if I get a few glasses of wine in him though, he is really funny about what is going on ![]() | |
