| Must have missed that one, but did see Joe Millionaire! Let's see what else we can come up with that includes Joe in the title! How about Joe Mama and you get to choose the person's mom...oh wait, hasn't that already been done? Wasn't there a show where they actually chose someone's dad?

Joe Schmo was similar to the Truman Show... they picked this poor guy out and he was told that he was going to be on a reality show kinda like Big Brother, where he was competing against everyone else in the house... the only thing was that the other people in the house were all actors playing different parts - i.e. the buddy, the bitch, the girl next door, the gay guy, etc. It was HILARIOUS... and the guy was just a big dork, but a really sweet big dork... so while they did humiliate him, he didn't make a big @ss out of himself, he just rolled with the punches. That was the only reality show that I really liked........ Oh, and there was also my Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance... anyone remember that one? That was another Fox goody! | |

I did like the one about the parents picking the boy since that probably taught the parent a thing or two about picking out future mates for their girls! hahaha

| I saw all of the ones where the kids chose the parent's date, I remember those. But I think I remember a show, I think it was on Fox, where some girl had to choose her real father from several men because I think that was the moment I swore I would never watch another reality show again! I didn't actually watch it, but I think she was adopted and was looking for her real dad. If this wasn't a real show, and it ends up on reality TV, you know where the idea came from first (although I wouldn't claim it!).

| Jetgirls Member | Wow, I am so out of it! I have barely even heard of any of these, let alone watched them. The only things we ever watch is PBS kid's shows and the Weather Channel. Both seem to have a satellite beam directly to my apt. My ex used to have the TV on every single minute that he was home and awake (and my son was starting to follow in his footsteps as a toddler) so as soon as he moved out, I declared NO MORE TV unless there was something specific on that I wanted to watch. I never got sucked into watching any shows and now, 2+ years later rarely watch TV. I am a big fan of Netflix thought and DH has recently gotten me hooked on Nip/Tuck so I may be setting up a regular viewing time soon. Kim

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I'm excoted because we get tv tomorrow. We haven't had it since we moved in. I made it DH's job to get a service set up thinking that he would be all over it, but I guess it wasn't a real priority with everything else going on. We have spent a lot of time together playing games and hanging out without it. I'm just excited to be able to watch Da BEARS. |
