OMG, it's cold here!!

in the low 30's again tonight...but i hear florida is hot, midwest is warm....alaska has a "snow blizzard/hurricane" thing going on (35 mph swells coming in from the ocean)...snow in san diego & las vegas....

what the heck is going on with the weather??

Oh the weather outside is frightful. But the fire is so delightful...lol. Actually we don't have a fire place. I thought my furnace was out tonight. Boy that was a scare. Dh is at work till midnight, and the thing just stopped running and it was down to 67 and dropping fast. I changed the batteries in the thermostat cause I learned that last time it happened a few years ago. But then I forgot to flip the switch back on after I put the batteries in, so I thought it was still broken and not the batteries, so I was swearing at it, but that didn't help for some reason, and I was looking at stuff, like maybe if I stared at it long enough it would start itself. Then I called dh ready to chew him out for not being there for me and he says "is the switch on?" Um, NOPE, retard forgot to flip it back on when I changed the batteries! So now that I know I'm an airhead, at least we have a warm house again!

We have been having a crazy December up in New England! Usually we have colder temps and snow by now...it has been in the 40-50's this month. No snow yet....no cold temps! The ski areas in NH are going crazy. My parents live up in Bretton Woods, NH (huge NH ski resort) and they usually open before Thanksgiving...this year they opened a week after Thanksgiving and most ski resorts have only a small amount of trails open or they haven't even opened yet! This is crazy! And the 10 Intellicast forecast is still calling for 40-50's. We should be average 20-30's by this point in December....DH would say two words "Global Warming". He says that everytime we get crazy weather now.
