No water all day!

We're not even impacted by the hurricane (yet). We've had no water. They are digging and digging. My whole house shook for a while all afternoon--I hope I still have pipes that work. Today was a day off (I was supposed to have a final job interview but didn't need it :googleeye so I took the day off anyway). I couldn't go ANYWHERE--could not get out of my house. All the roads are closed. There were EMT's--the police told me a house was floating down the street. I think the water dept screwed up big time and destroyed a house and the people in it! YIKES.
