Unhappy Holy cow! Hurricane Katarina...

check this out! Category 5 now.. 165-175 mph and they're saying it's going to be the #4 most deadliest/strongest hurricane like EVER! Look out! here she comes!!

Anyone here going to be affected??

Strike Probabilities:

It won't let me show the doppler image from New Orleans, so i'm including the link to it here -> http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ridge/lix.shtml

I'm hoping that there's no one staying anywhere near town to experience their own "french quarter hurricane party"! that would just be idiotic!

Wow, I hadn't seen that picture and projected course yet. Yikes! Last year we were flooded in this area very heavily by Ivan which is hard to believe it having an impact on PIT. I'm hoping we don't get the same. It looks like it is really going to do some damage in the south. I hope there is minimal loss of life.

Wow! The poor people who were too sick or poor to evacuate and had to stay in the dome are now wet cause the roof was damaged.

Yeah, Genuis me decided to go on an overnight with DH saturday night, when we got back into ATL sunday morning,, i listed myself on a 0845 to Panama City, FL, in the panhandle and all the flights were cancelled. I wound up staying in ATL with DH, went on another overnight with him and came back this afternoon. I thought with the storm going west that it would have no affect on the FLorida panhandle. I was wrong. Been up since 0420 today and 21 minutes of work left. What a weekend.

Anyone familiar with naps? Highspeeds? Standups? Pretty much trips done on reduced rest. Thats what DH did this weekend and boy are they HELL!!
