Default Are we all a bit boring?

Geez, What happened? For a while things were moving around here, and now? NADA. Doesn't anyone have something to talk about? Oh well. Today my baby turns 2. Hubby gets home this afternoon, and a few hours after that my in laws arrive(they are going on cruise too). Saturday we leave! Yipeeeee! Okay, sorry to bore you guys, just wondering where everybody was.

My in-laws just flew in last night. They're here for 3 days and then heading back up to Seattle. It's soooo nice to finally have a break from the kiddos! I never realized the value of grandparents until we moved far, far away from all of them!

I was supposed to head up to Portland on Monday to help my sisiter-in-law do a "clean sweep" on her house, but the loads are so heavy that it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

That's all that's happening here!

By the way, have fun on your cruise!! I'm jealous! You 'll have to let us know how it goes with the kids on board. We'd love to take a cruise, but with 2 little boys we just figured it would have to wait until later. Anyway, enjoy yourself and soak up the sun!

Hmmmm.... seems we are a bit stale....

Since I'm so new here, I haven't been able to find where you are going on your cruise. DH and I were thinking of taking a cruise over his primary vaca in Oct. Our 10 year anniversary is this year and we thought we could do something really big and neat like that. You'll have to give us all the goodies when you get back.

Kudos to you for going on a trip with your in-laws. If I went on a cruise with my in-laws, one of us would definitely end up in the ocean. If I couldn't throw her over, I would jump myself.

Happy Happy Birthday to baby! Are you ready for the terrible twos? I don't have any babies yet, but I had three younger sisters starting when I was twelve, and it seemed the terrible twos didn't actually hit until they were about 4, so you've got some time yet! Karla and Allison,
Thanks! I hope to have fun. I just found out that we cannot leave the boys on board while we do an excursion. It is only for kids 2 and under. I would feel awful just leaving the one behind. But, hopefully the grandparents will help a bit with them. Our cruise is on Carnival and we leave out of Port Canaveral which is what we chose so that we wouldn't have to drive or fly to MIA of FLL. A 45 minute drive will be painless. We are headed to Ket West, which is not too far from here, then Cozumel, Belize and Progresso/Yucatan. I've never been to any of them except Key West. I plan on taking tons of pics, so I'll share when I get back! Bye ladies!

Terrible two's? OH MY GOD! We have been there since last yr and my newly 3 yr old is a MAJOR pain. I sometimes just sit and cry wondering what in the world is wrong with them. I sometimes think they are possessed! LOL I PRAY that they won't be running around like little monsters. But I have noticed that they really don't act like devils when their dad is home. I wonder why. They hardly whine or act up. I must be a push over and they have me wrapped super tight around their finger. ssshhh, Better not let them hear me.

You can't leave the kids on board? geez.. did you already pay for your excursions?

yeah.. i hear those terrible two's aren't a whole heck of a lot of fun - but they are a major learning curve in child's head!

I've been preoccupied with working on the rest of the site.. I'm using a CMS system, so there's a big learning curve there...it'll be a while till it's done, I still have to finish my research on photo galleries and figure out how to do a few little extras which will be WAY coolio!

so other than working at work.. then going home and working at home.. i haven't been doing a whole heck of a lot! I'm off to Ireland next week for St. Patty's day and need to start planning for our mandatory May vacation. so with that, i have a VERY long todo list!

and that's why i've been a bit absent.. i'm sure you wouldn't want to hear me go on and on about mambots, components, modules, menu creating and all that fun stuff! ummm yea.. now THAT would be boring!

man - if i didn't work 9-5, i could actually get this all done a lot faster! jobs.. sheesh.. can't live with em, can't pay for anything without em!

Have fun on your trip Brenda - make sure you take notes so you can add to the trip report section of the forum (travel recommendations are always a welcome sight!!)

Karla - with the inlaws in town, does that mean you might be able to get together or no? Amanda & Nick are in town this weekend, Doug gets home tomorrow as well...

Hi- I've been a bit M.I.A. for a while. I'm trying not to be so addicted to the web!

I'm going to pick up Nick in a few minutes. He is sooo depressed since there were 3 full flights to couldn't get on earlier. Also his sched sucks beginning next week- no weekends off for a looooong time... not a lot of flying hours (but long shifts)...new punk-a$$ roommate w/ attitude...and no end in sight. I think my guy needs a BIG hug when I see him. He needs to leave first thing Saturday morning so I may be solo if we get together Sat. night.

On Saturday afternoon I'm doing something cool- I'm volunteering at a San Fran Giants Spring Trg baseball game selling souveniers. I've done it before and it's a blast.

volunteering at spring training? that sounds really FUN!

I did the beer stand one year at the orange bowl (citrus bowl - whatever bowl they call it in MCO now)...since i was the only girl serving beer, i raked in the tips! i'd seriously LOVE to do that type of thing again!!

Poor nick!! if he needs doug to buy him a beer & cheer him up tomorrow night, let me know! We've been there...but it does pass!

Emily...your blah? awwww.. your just still getting used to the whole working concept, after a while.. you'll get so bored, you'll want to start something up after work! just you wait! haha

I am very boring. My children have drained my spunk lol. I'll be back to my usual charming self in a few months when I can start getting 8 hours of sleep again.
