That he does (not Taco Bell--all home made). It's the grilling marinated shrimp, steak and baby potatoes. Where's the veggies?

I wish I had airline pilot wives here in orlando I could meet! Anyone know any?

Jo,
There are lots of pilots (and wives)all over Florida. When we were in CVG, I thought about having DH put a flyer up in OPS, looking for other wives to hang out with. I just never got around to doing it before we moved. Good Luck!

Training can be very rough but we are here for you! Feel free to vent whenever you need to! Does your DH know where he is going to be based yet? How long is his training supposed to be? What type of work do you do? Hopefully the next couple of weeks will go by quickly for you.

My DH will be going through training (upgrading--yipee!) withn the next six months or so and it is six weeks of training. Luckily I will be working full time and going to school at night to finish up my masters so hopefully the weeks will go by quickly.

Flying for regional airlines is a tough gig before you build up seniority. I honestly didn't think I would ever get use to DH's job but I must say while by no means is it easy, I am pretty used to it. Sometimes I still get jealous of the couples who have "normal" schedules but look how boring that would get. plus i think about how there are a ton of jobs that I am glad DH is not doing--firefigher or police officer or in the military. not only would i miss him when he was gone, i would worry way too much.

Actually, I found it easier because I had a child. I guess I always viewed it in the same manner as the child rearing process: Nothing is static; everything is a stage; plan for the future; plan for options; be very flexible; take one day at a time; and do the best you can.

That is exactly how I felt after my first son was born. I was so busy caring for this other little person that I didn't have time to be lonely. Then the 2nd one came along and my world got even busier!
