Default Hi Ladies. How is everyone?

Today is my baby's 16 month birthday. I can't believe how time flies...

Hope you all had a nice Halloween.

Sorry I have not posted much since joining. I am going to try and be more active.

This is pretty much a pointless post

there's monthly birthdays or are you just having some fun with it? I have no idea how mommies do birthdays from birth till 2.. I think at 2, it switches to years right?

so - what'd you do for halloween? what'd you dress baby up as?

Alex's 16 month is coming up next week. Can't belive it's been so long! He's walking & running like crazy!

I just 'notice' his monthly birthdays. We had a party on his 1-year b-day, but no real celebrations for any others. You do stop counting by months & start counting by years after age 2. I think it's because they don't change quite so much month-by-month once they're a little older. There's a big difference between a 6 month old and a one year old, but not as much of a difference between a toddler who's 2 and one who's 2 1/2. (My theory anyway!)

We aren't having a party or anything I just remember it. After 2 most people stop counting the months.

He was dressed up as a puppy. My friend gave me this adorable fluffy dog costume, his little face was peeking out, it was so cute! Our neighborhood is insanity on Halloween. Kids come from all over STL to trick or treat here. It is not unusual to have 200 kids come to the door. Rob took George out to a few friends houses and I stayed home and handed out candy. It was raining last night, so that was a bummer.

I counted months till one year, (Never celebrated, just noticed cause on the 18th of every month I'd write in his journal) They change so much in one month when they are little. Then at 1 I started rounding to whatever was closer, 1, 1 and a half, 2, now he's two and a half. I suppose I'll stick to that way until about 4 or 5? And then just say the year only after that. The only reason it matters is cause as moms we are always comparing (not in a bad way, but just noticing) and relating other children to ours. So if I see a kid that can say the alphabet and I ask how old and the mom says "2" then I think "geez, he's younger than Caleb." But really he COULD be a montha way from 3 and could be much older. So I always add in the closest to the 6 month mark. Did that make one bit of sense? LOL

Does anyone remember the Billy Crystal move, I think it was City Slickers? His mother still referred to his birthday in months, I think she called and said I can't believe my baby is 480 months now! (something like that)

Now that I think about it, his mother may have been still referring to his birthday in weeks! Even worse yet! Does anyone remember this? I just remember it being funny!
