Have you read anything by Dan Brown? I read the DaVinci code and liked it, but I really LOVED 2 of his other books.
  • Angels and Demons (awesome). I liked it because it kept you engaged the whole time. And I liked the science/religion story line.
  • Deception Point (my favorite). I am a science girl, so this was up my alley. About a possible meteorite with life found.....
DH and I also read a great book by Greg Iles. It was called Footprints of God. It was about creating a super human computer and was worth every minute of reading. Especially when you got into the mind of one of the characters and realized what he was "seeing" because of tests he went through while they were trying to make this computer.

I love to read. I'll pretty much read anything. I love the Sue Grafton series with Kinsey Milhone the private detective. Start with the A is for Alibi and read them in alphabetical order. The Janet Evanovich books with Stephanie as the bail bond lady are good too. I can read one in a day, nice light funny reading. I like the Ann Rule true crime books too, but some of them are really creepy and I don't like to read them when DH is gone. There was one about a pilot but I can't recall the name. Same goes for Patricia Cornwell, creepy but good although I haven't read those in a long time. Maeve Binchy has some good romance type books, The Glass Lake was a good one. I just started reading Tami Hoag. I read several of them and they were the only books I have read that I couldn't figure out what the ending would be before I actually knew. Some of them are a little creepy too. But I just read Lucky's Lady and it is not her typical style and quite a bit smutty! Good thing the library is less than 10 minutes away!

I second Maeve Binchy! I read 3 books by her and they were really good (Tara Road, Scarlet Feather, Quentins)

I read a book called All the Numbers. It is a really good book. I will warn you it is a tear-jerker about a mother who loses her son, but a great book.

And, if you want to laugh for a day straight (because you just have to finish it) you should read The Devil Wears Prada!

Ooooh, there is a great series by Diana Gabaldon. The first is Outlander followed by Dragonfly in Amber. I think there are 6 or 7 books in the series now. It is by far the best romance novel/series that I have ever read. Every female in my family and quite a few friends have read them and everyone agrees. My books are worn out from being read by so many people. The characters are amazing and a great deal of the series takes place in Scotland which is a big bonus for me. Check it out on-line. The books have quite a following. I can guarantee that you will be hooked. Let me know what you think.

I actually liked Capote a lot....I dunno if you saw the movie but the book was SO much better

Other than that, i read & trade a lot of smut books (anything with pirates or union soldiers/debutante plot lines will do! haha)...

John Saul is my favorite author to get my "scary" fix in.

I hardly get a chance to read anymore.. I think the only time i do is when i'm on a flight overseas...sad...i need to rectify that!!

The books that I read are written for 13 year olds and below right now, no time for grown-up reading.
