My Crappy Day

1. Employee's husband takes their one year old son and three year old daughter for a car ride at 94 miles per hour and crashes yesterday. The son is in the hospital in really bad shape. The daughter is in shock and is staying with a friend, wondering where mommy and brother are.

2. Employee had a major heart attack last night, surgery and is in critical condition. She has two young children and is a single parent.

3. Employee committed suicide last night. His family doesn't know yet. I left word with the coroner that we have a copy of his DD2-14 from the Air Force which entitles him to a free burial and we already began the processing for his life insurance and 401(k). Staff are really upset.
