Default Farenheit 9/11...

Anyone see it? What did you think? Am I even allowed to talk about this since it's so political and elections are right around the corner! My husband and I saw it...

I'm curious what everyone thought.

The previews looked so incredibly stupid and biased that I have no interest what-so-ever in seeing this piece of 'propeganda'.

No thanks. We live in a country where someone is free to make and market such a 'movie', but I don't have to go see it.

You should SEE it. You don't have to beleive it, but you should see it.

What can it hurt?

It can waste hours of my time and put money we worked hard for in the pockets of Michael Moore.

That's why it can hurt.

Gotta agree with you on that one! I wouldn't see it if it were free and I sure as heck wouldn't give that guy a penny.

I tend to agree.. I need my money more than Michael Moore does! hahaha

but i am planning on going to Team America - just cuz i heard it was hilarious on both sides of the fence!

I'm not much for political movies.. I sway my own mind from time to time, i don't feel the need to offer someone else the opportunity! haha

When I first saw the previews of Team America I thought "OMG what a stupid looking movie". But then I started hearing RAVING reviews about it, that it is just hilarious in so many ways and totally bashes everybody. It's from the creaters of South Park, who rip on everybody on both sides of the fence on that show too. We'll probably get it on video. Like we watch every movie we see. I haven't been to an actual theater since we saw "Perfect Storm" when it first came out.

I dunno.. any movie that has a line of "We just lost our intelligentce...I repeat, we have no intelligence" and is politically related is just a hoot ta me! hahaha

has anyone seen...ohhhh what is it called..."the day after tomorrow" i think...it just came out on dvd.. heard the action sequences are really good, but the plot isn't all that great?! ??? I wonder if it'd be good enuff though for a future HDTV collection...that's really why i'm inquiring!

you know.. inquiring minds and all that mumbo jumbo...

What does everyone have against Michael Moore? I have never seen anything else he has done so I am honestly asking.

I have nothing against anyone, frankly. I listen to all sides, read and make my own conclusions. I'm still reading the 911 Commission Report and Flying Blind. I have not had time for viewing movies. I will at some point, just because. None of it matters since, because I will be traveling on November 2, I've already voted via absentee ballot which just arrived yesterday.

As an aside, today the US Supreme Court threw out the Nader appeal in PA. To date, it has been blamed as a Democratic plot to get Nader off the ballot and disenfranchise the military (traditionally Republican) vote by delaying issuance of the absentee ballots (which is why our ballots arrived as late as yesterday). Well, the same Supreme Court that decided W was the winner, now decided Nader's signatures were bogus. Bogus is Bogus. I was approached at my house by a Nader person in the summer. I declined. As I did, I noticed that he started to fill in the form....I guess I was on the bogus list!

Unfortunately the ballots already had to go out and Nader is on them. So if someone votes for Nader, they are wasting their vote.

If you viewed the debates and want to check the accuracy of what was said, feel free to view the information gathered by one of my alma maters:
