Default Where is everyone????

Geez. I had such a great day and there is no one here to tell! I exchanged the courderoy's that were too BIG for the next size down! And I found that Bloomingdales had everything on sale for 40% off!

I bought Evan his own All Clad saute pan because I know he won't be happy cooking with anything else since he knows what it's like! He's off to his own apartment in Orlando in November for school. But the good news is that I found it mispriced at TJMaxx for $39!!!!

And I bought him two table lamps at Target for $7.99--that's right two for $7.99.

Now I just have to find him a cheapo $20 wok. He loves to cook Asian food. He loves my 40 year old cheap wok.

I'm gonna miss my kid!

WHOAH! $39 for an all clad saute pan?! that's a STEAL! you can find a cheapo wok anywhere, just depends on the type you want.

All i've been doing is studying...got a big 8 hr exam on the 30th and it's all i'll be doing day in/day out for a while! no fun for me, but hopefully will be an opportunity to get ahead at work!

I have noticed that it's been pretty quiet since the forum switch... Hopefully, everyone is able to get on here ok?

He would not care what "type" it is. He just wants to be able to heat it up really high and survive! I guess my 40 year old wok is substantial enough to withstand his heat requirements. That's why he loves it. I'm just not seeing anything like my old cheapy wok anymore. I'll have to keep looking!

<font color="blue"> It is pretty quiet around here. My excuse was that I was at the annual Greek festival in PHX with Nick. We had a great time! Nick and I ate Gyros and loukoumades (like glazed donut holes with cinnamon). YUMMMM! (but it's diet time now!) We also saw kids doing traditional Greek dances-loved it!
I wish I brought my camera but forgot it at home.

[/ QUOTE ]Engineer-in-Training (or they call it the FE (fundamentals of engineering))... it's one of those stepping stones before getting your professional engineering (PE) registration. I have my 4 years of experience and can take the PE test as soon as i find out i pass this test.. but it's a bumkicker of a test because it deals with 24 different subjects that i took 10 years ago in college. my bad, i should have just gotten the thing in college when i was there.. but i didn't think i needed it.. now i'm paying mighty high by having to go back and relearn a bunch of stuff i dont even use on an everyday basis...

oh woa is me! so be it.. i gotta get back to studying so i dont have to study anymores!

Wow, I feel for you. That was like me having to take the GMAT's in 1995 and they use what is now 8th grade math. OK it was 10th grade math when I had it. I still didn't remember it and had to relearn it all!

Do you take it on line and get instant results or do you have to wait for them to send you your score?

So, when you pass we'll all have to

Ugg, I have to take the FE in a year. I didn't do any engineering as an undergrad (and just took a couple of beginning level clases last year - statics, strength of materials), so I'm gonnna have to do a lot of studying. I'm not exactly looking forward to it....

Good luck with the studying and best of luck on the test!

kewlio! you work in the engineering field? I assume your taking the FE to take the PE?

Roz, the test is taken at a testing site (strict environmental controls blah blah blah).. and I have to wait 3 stinkin months for the results! It's even scantron, but we still have to wait.. .I wish that wasn't the case, i'd just like to know if i got my 70 or not! haha
