| Kristie- In a bunch of pics, you're wearing some cool shades. What type? I have a similiar pair and people say I look like an alien. I think mine might be men's, so Im looking for a new pair. |

| Sorry to hear about the disappointing vacation, but atleast we'll have you around to chat! Maui Jims...thats what I thought, since those are the ones I have. Im in search of a pair of good flying glasses that are feminine. I have all sorts of flying glasses (Serengetis, Revos, and Oakleys too), but they are not flattering. I find myself wearing one pair to the plane and another in the plane (it might sound vain, but wearing good sunglasses in a plane makes a big difference and looking like an alien when I go away is not my idea of fun). I keep a pair of chunky, brown tortoise sunglasses in my car and I love how they look, but they do little for me while flying. I have a long face, so I think thats why the typical sportier glasses look funny. |

| Kathy doesn't look like a blob. She looks great. Although having never been pregnant I don't really know what that feels like. How much is a ton? I payed $200 for my Sarengetti's (that DH stepped on and broke ) |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | why not try some regular eyeglass type frames and have them put some sun lenses in them? i have no idea what the cost would be.. but if we're paying $200 for a pair of sunglasses, it can't be that much more expensive! hahaha and maybe it can! and yea - it's VERY hard to find good shades that has a feminine touch to them.. if you find some, let me know! I've tried ray-ban, suncloud, sarengetti's and now maui jims.. so far, the maui jims win over everyone else... Christine - i know whatcha mean about not knowing what it's like to feel pregnant... i can't relate at all.. all i know is that she's STILL trying to get over a cold (4 weeks later).. she's already taken all of her antibiotics and heard from the doc that sudafed was ok..so she's trying those now....but it's amazing to know that her immune system is down so much/so often because it's protecting the baby 100%...so even if she has a cold, the baby doesn't...it's just amazing what you learn! at the baby shower, someone even got her a big ol tube of "butt paste"... anyone else ever heard of it? it was the joke of the hour!! I'm pretty sure she's carrying a boy.. cuz you can't tell from the back that she's pg... he/she is riding low and to the right.... and I saw my girlfriend laura today (the one i'm holding the baby shower for) in ATL (LONG afternoon layover) today and she is having a boy and is showing the same type of scenario as kathy (only 3 months behind my sister)...so it would really surprise me if she has a girl! :-D either way, the kids gonna be spoiled rotten by me - i'll let the parents fix him up! hahaha :greeny: |

| Kristie, Your sister will come to appreciate "butt paste" and so will you if you babysit often. Basically its zinc oxide (remember all of the cheesy colored sunscreens of the 80's?).....just basic diaper cream. It is very soothing to red little tushies! The urine and the stool sitting together in the diaper go through a chemical reaction that produces ammonia. The ammonia is very irritating to the sensitive little bottom and produces a horrible red rash that can even bleed a little bit. (the first time Ben had one I freaked out and thought he was dying). It can be very painful. Ben still gets a rash every once in a while (like when we were on our trip...he got a doosy)....but he always giggles when I put the diaper cream on him. Its actually kind of funny! So anyway...all you ever wanted to know about butt paste and then some!!! Sorry, I guess I have baby on the brain!! |

And until 2 weeks ago, I was wearing prescription sunglasses anyway. But now that I have my contacts I'm wearing sunglasses again. I like to get expensive sunglasses - generally speaking, I take better care of them. |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | hehe you guys are funny. I only buy $10 sunglasses (maybe $15 if I REALLY like them) because i treat them like poop. they get thrown around my car, sat on, thrown on the counter etc etc. and lost. oh man do they get lost! it's like they have feet and just walk away! I'm really impressed though, I bought 2 pairs of the same sunglasses last summer cause it was get 2 pairs for $20 (otherwise they would have been like $17 each) and I've only lost one! The other pair has made it all the way through this summer too! I'm so impressed. yay for me! hehe |
