I am still in my pajamas, although usually, I am dressed by 7am. I was thinking back to college when I would get up at 11am or noon and not get dressed until whenever (unless I had class or work). Some days, I would just love to stay in my pajamas all day. I get up and do my chores (laundry, meals, ironing, etc.), but I would really enjoy just staying in my pajamas. Is anyone else like this or am I just that odd?

Nope Regina you are NOT odd. When I don't have to work, I don't usually get dressed until I have to go out. My kids always know when its a work day because I've put on my "work clothes" (Dress pants, dressy blouse/shirt etc.) They get really upset when I put that kind of thing on when I'm just going out for some reason and its NOT a work day. ![]() For me, I've been getting up very late lately. The baby is a terrible night owl and I'm not getting to sleep before midnight or later. My 4 yo gets up and starts a movie around 630a and lets me sleep. He is very good about not getting into anything so I can trust him. Then I sleep until the 2 yo gets up around 830. Its working for us.

Hmm... I guess wake-up time around here varies. I'm not really functional with less than 6 hours of sleep - really makes my ADHD take my mind over. So, whatever time we go to bed, I sleep about 7-8 hours after that. If my husband is home, we usually stay up pretty late... 1 or 2 am. When he's on a trip, I go to sleep depending on his showtime-- if he has late shows, I stay up late and talk with him on the phone. If he has early shows, I try to get to bed before midnight. Right now, since it's getting colder out, my pj's wouldn't be warm enough to wear around the house. Summertime, I've definitely hung out in pj's for a bit, until we get the day started. |

I used to put on make-up, fix my hair and dress up EVERY DAY of the week but now that I'm a stay at home mom, my favorite hairstyle is a ponytail, I only wear make-up if I have to go out in public and I wear comfy clothes all day. Why get dressed up to do laundry, dishes and change dirty diapers? I'm getting better about making myself look decent more often now that my lil guy is getting older though. I got tired of feeling frumpy and I don't want my husband to lose interest. |
