Default The new 90210

Did anyone catch this? I used to love 90210 in college and we would have parties so a group of us could watch together. It's a blast from the past in some ways, although things are different in the world these days from the early 90's!

I didn't catch it either, but I'd love to know what folks thought! 90210 and 21 Jump Street were my FAVES growing up.

It struck a nostalic cord with me too. I tried to watch. But even though it was the season premier, I couldn't figure out what was going on. It already seemed like a show that was established. I gave it about a 20 min try before turning the channel, maybe it would have explained itself if I had been more patient.

Or maybe the show really is just that bad now that we're older, a bit more mature, and have refined our tastes.

i love those not-quite-but-oh-so-close-to soap opera shows, and i watched the new 90210 and it wasn't the worst i've seen, but the parents kept making references to things that i guess were in the old one?

i remember my parents watching the original when we were little, but i was too young to remember anything from it (if it wasn't animated i wasn't interested)

if anyone's out there who cares enough to fill me in that would be lovely, but i totally understand if no one does haha it is just a dramafest tv show

LOL Amanda! I was thinking the same exact thing!!!!

As for the new show....I actually didn't think it was too bad. I was watching closely so I didn't miss any of the "updates" about what the old
"crew" was now doing! DH just shook his head at me and laughed!

I watched it but I didn't care for it much. It wasn't the same as the old one. I also thought it started out already established and it was hard to figure some of it out. I may watch a few more and see if it gets any better. I did like the grandmother though. She was funny...LOL.

Why do i feel like I'm the only one who was surprised (and disappointed) by the parking lot blow-job before school? Does no one else find that ... odd ... for a prime time TV show high schoolers are watching? And, not only that it was in the show, but that not one character responded to the public oral sex (except to how the act itself meant the guy was cheating on his girlfriend)?

Or is public oral sex THAT common, now, that I shouldn't have been surprised by it?
