Calorie Count Plus - Free, Intelligent, Online Dieting

This is a really good website to track what you eat everyday. When I DID it, it helped me. Then I got lazy. I am really going to try doing it again. Its amazing how less hungry you are when you see what all you have eaten in a day. At least it did for me. Good luck!

Mrs. T, its so hard to get into the routine, and I swear if you take a week off, i have to start my movation all over again.

I am making this week my week to get back to the gym. I went to curves before I got pg. but that went out the window fast.

I am close to my pre pg weight, but I got some stomach flab going on! I eat preety good, but its my wine at night that kills me. I know the only way to get it off is to start moven my money maker.

But for something fun a girl and I from work are going to start belly dancing lesson once a week. I hear that its great for you stomach. Lance says it find but I can only dance for him. LOL

Sorry about you and hubby. the funks sink, hope you guys have a uphill swing soon. I have to tell Lance all the time that I'm not a guy, and those make fun of you when you done something stupid, aren't funny to me. It pisses me of and hurts my feelings. 6 yrs later we are down to him doing it 40% of the time.

you might find the troubles btwn you and dh reduced once you start on a exercise regimen. I know my mood improves IMMENSELY when I'm exercising regularly. I feel strong, sexy, and better about myself overall. You might like Curves, they are very supportive and it's not full of skinny little teenagers in their tight workout outfits
I just joined the YMCA cos my local Curves has funky open hours, not convenient.
What's cool about them is they base your fees on your income. Cos I'm so poor I only pay $29 a month. Yes they are kinda churchy but it's not in your face.
the one I go to has personal trainers to work with you and a computerized system to help you monitor your workouts. haven't tried it yet but it looks neat.
good luck, it's a lifestyle change that is initially VERY difficult but once you get into it and start feeling the results (even if you can't see it yet) it is the best!

We have a YMCA here too. It's $55.00 for me a month and to be able to take my daughter to the day care when she's out of school or on a weekend, I have to buy a membership for her. What??? I thought that was insane. I'm not paying for a membership for a 7 year old just so she can go to the daycare a few days a month. National is $29 and the day care is free.

I checked curves too and it's really small and doesn't have the classes I want. The skinny teenagers don't bother me too much. It gives me a goal...motivation to work harder so I don't look so bad standing next to them...LOL. I pointed one out to the guy showing me around and said, "Can you make me look like that?"

"Absolutely," he replied.

I laughed and said, "All right. You didn't even hesitate. Way to lie." LOL.

I don't have to wear a bakini, although it would be nice to be able to, let's be honest...LOL. I just want to be healthier, get the blood pressure down and fit into the two sundresses I've kept since before i had my daughter. They're a size 8.

what?? that's just stupid! you'd think they would let you use the daycare if you've bought a membership for yourself. oh well. it sounds like you are getting a good deal at National. If you are working with a personal trainer, like the other girls said, if you make appts, you are certainly more likely to go, and less likely to flake!
And if you make an effort to keep track of your daily food intake, it can be surprising. For me it's kind of like using a credit card for a bunch of little purchases and all of a sudden, oops! I have a big ol' bill! LOL
There is a great site to use for daily caloric intake, it helps you determine what level is best for you. It's on my work computer and I'll send you the link tomorrow. It's helped me quite a bit. Raised my awareness of what goes into my body and how much work it takes to use up the calories!

I would talk to your Dr about taking those blood pressure meds or get a second opinion. Immediate exercise may not be the answer for your indications--those are some pretty nasty numbers for BP. You may also have difficulty with exercise considering the extra pounds you'll be working with . I have MVP and a few pounds make a huge difference on how much I can do even WITH BP meds. Moderate walking is probably a good idea,(even to just get out of the hosue?!), but maybe your doctor has reasons for you to work with medication first. (maybe??)
You really don't want to explode because you're stubborn, do you?
We know you want to "try to be good"!
Monitor your salt and sodium intake, too--sodium hides in so many foods--go for 1000-1500mg day (women) it's NOT easy considering preservatives. Never eat any serving of anything that has more than 500mg. Huge difference!

I'm taking meds now until I get the weight off. My dr. pretty much told me if I didn't he would force feed me...LOL. They've run several tests, but can't find a reason for it other than the weight and the stress. He seems to think if I get the weight off, the pressure will come down. He wants me to go ahead and start exercising and I'll go in and let them periodically check my pressure again so they can make sure the meds are working for now. He says the sooner we cand start getting the weight off the better, it's not going to come down until I do.
