Default saving money

Okay, this is a really good week for saving money with coupons and deals. Just thought I would share.

There was a coupon for bogo free Sure deoderant in the paper this sunday. CVS has it buy 2 get 3.00 ecb's...making them both free or extremely cheap after ecb's.

Need mascara? CVS has physicians formula mascara for 7.99 and get 7.99 ecb's. A few weeks ago there was a coupon for 1.00 off phyicians formula. So, they actually end up paying you for buying this.

Like pert plus shampoo? If you have a winn dixie near you, and the coupons from this last Sunday's papers, you could get free shampoo. 1.99 this week, and then there were coupons for 3.oo off and 2.00 off, so you could even make money, if your winn dixie accepts overage.

Need sunscreen? CVS has buy 2 coppertone products and get 10 ecb's. Well, those coppertone baby sticks are 4.99 each. So, you just have to pay tax on them, after ecb's.

Also free after ecb's at CVS, cvs brand tampons, cvs brand pantyliners, bag of lifesavers (if your store let's you use a bogo coupon on a bogo item), and a couple more things that I can't remember right now. Very cheap razors, if you have the 4.00 bic soielle coupon from the sunday inserts. I think less than 1.00, after the ecb's. CVS facial cleansers are free after ecb's too.

Oh, and Walgreens has a great diaper sale this week. You need to sets of coupons that can be found in the store. One is that little booklet that is an easysaver coupon booklet. The other is at the pharmacy that is given out for just asking about their new prescription program. The walgreen brand diapers are on sale for 5.99 this week (the walgreens supreme-red package- are comparable to pampers, but not as good as huggies.). If you buy in sets of 3, you get an additional 5.00 back on your next walgreens purchase. Use both walgreens coupons from the easysaver booklet and the total, depending on your tax, will be around 5.25. Well, then you get the 5.00 gift reciept for your next walgreens purchase. So, it is like paying 25 cents for 3 packs of jumbo sized diapers. Yes, I mean a quarter for 3 packs of diapers....how great is that? Don't use that register reward to buy 3 more packs of diapers though because you can't use the same register reward on the same purchase and get more register rewards. So, we eat grapenuts sometimes in the morning. Grapenuts is on sale for 2 for 5.00, and you get 2.00 register rewards. I split up my order and bought the 2 grapenuts for 5.00, used my register reward from diapers, and out spit 2.00 register reward to use on my diapers. Did another set of 3 diapers, out spits a register reward for 5.00 to use on my grapenuts. You don't have to buy grapenuts. Buy whatever you were already going to buy. Milk is cheap every other week at walgreens. Just remember the register rewards expire in 2 weeks.

Hope this helps someone.

Regina! You are awsome! THANK YOU! I'm headed to CVS for sunscreen on our way to the lake!

I've never used store brand diapers, I'm a pampers mama, but maybe I should give them a try since they are so cheap!

Up until the last year or so, I hated store brand diapers. I tried publix, kroger, luvs, and pampers AND I was soooooo disappointed. I only used huggies. This last year, I tried the store brand (CVS and Walgreen's---only tried the "Supreme"), and I thought they were comparable to pampers....maybe even better. I would try them while they are having this deal. I actually went again today. I spent 5.25 out of pocket for 3 jumbo packages of diapers, and then I received 5.00 back in register rewards to use for future purchases. Just remember that you need the 2 coupons I told you about, buy in sets of 3, and do not roll the 5.00 into the same diaper deal. Use the 5.00 for something you would normally be buying instead in a separate transaction. Oh, and my 2 year old was leaking at night through huggies, and I used the walgreens supreme last night (red package) and no leaks....maybe just a coincidence, but I am going back at least 2 more times to get more! How can you beat a quarter for 3 jumbo packs of diapers?

I looove that too haha ... went grocery shopping with my mom tonight for our huge 4th of July BBQ tomorrow--- was TRULY sick over the amount of money we spent haha --- but did get a sick thrill about the fact that we saved a total of $135.00. Gotta love ACME.

For good deals on beauty products, check out the dollar store. Since their inventory changes all the time, they often have good brand hair products, make up, and lots of great kitchen things. Love that store.

Regina...you are my hero!! I live for buy one get ones and get so excited when I find a deal. I love the CVS deals! Before I do my big grocery trip I go online at Publix & Winn Dixie and compare the sale adds then I make my list and go to both stores since they are within a mile of each other. I find the buy one get ones and then go to the cookbook for ways I can use them. It is amazing how much $$ you can save when you really plan your trip to the store. Great thread
