I wake up everyday between 7:30-8:00 to my son yelling from his crib "Mama out, Mama, OUT!". I get him up and usually the first thing out of his mouth is "Chaca bubba" which is code for chocolate milk. By this time my daughter has woken up and is requesting her banana oatmeal (yuck!). So after breakfast me and the kids watch bindi the jungle girl or handy manny and then we play for awhile. This morning my son made me a steak, pbj, pizza and green peas for my plastic breakfast. After that we might go outside for a little while. Then I get in the shower at 10:30 and then I leave the house at 11:00 for my hour drive to work. Work from Noon until 10:00 and then home by 11:00 pm.

I've gotten good at getting up and out in 20 mins (sometimes less if I don't lay in bed for a bit). I hate getting up early, so I maximize the sleep time I am NOT a morning person! It takes me till about 9 before I'm nice and 10 before I'm social...

Yup, same here. And that is very difficult when you have kids.

HA! And that will probably change when you first have little William!

My routine: I don't bother with alarm clocks cause I have my little petunia, Victoria to wake me up anywhere between 6:30 and 7A. Before I go get her, grab bottle, put in micro, let the dog and cat outside, go upstairs and get her, grab bottle, let dog and cat in, and head back to my bed. Even when dh is home. Then I fall alsleep til 8-8 30A when boys wake up. Now we go full speed ahead. Breakfast, I shower, all 3 watch tv for a bit, I straighten up, check emails, news on cnn.com, plan our day, usually I pack a snack, cooler, and head to the pool around 11A.

My morning varies, but usually get up whenever I get up usually between 11a-12 (hey, I work til 1am!) let the dog out, feed/water cats and dog, take medicine while I wait for its stupid 30 minutes before I can eat. Let dog in, check email, yell at dog for chewing EVERYTHING. Eat breakfast (or lunch I guess.. since by then its 1230/1) clean one room a day (I'm starting a new routine, every room has its day to be cleaned really well, like Thursday is the kitchen!) let dog in and out every 5 minutes when she wants (oh the joys of housebreaking a puppy, but in and out is much better than clean up poo and pee on the carpet every 5 minutes). Then watch the news at some point, pack lunch, take a shower and leave for work by usually 330.

I agree with you all though, I am NOT a morning person. I wasn't really happy with my 4:30p-1a shift, but I can sleep til noon so I guess its not too bad. I'm like the other Emily if I have to get up in the morning. As little time as possible getting ready, as much time as possible getting 1 more minute of sleep. Unless I am getting up to fly somewhere, then I'm up and out of the bed as soon as the alarm goes off!

I wake up because I have too, and usually that is a 15 minute ordeal...I always think "just 5 more minutes"...but when I'm at work at 8, none of the instructors really talk to me until after I've had about 2 cups of coffee...I guess my face says it all, "Don't bug me..." hahahah...

Scissorhands, I am NOT jealous...I have 3 kittens to clean up after...that is all I can handle! hahaha...
