It was a great read. I stayed up late last night reading it because I couldn't put it down!
That does sound good! I'll see about placing a hold for that book at my library..

He also has a book out titled "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". I bought it on cd for my IPOD to listen to on a trip, it was pretty good.

I actually got to start reading again this summer. The last time I read a book was when I was in the hospital after I had my youngest, she will be two next month. I read the DaVinci Code, and loved it. LOL

I just reread East of Eden, by John Steinbeck, and it is awesome.

Hope's Boy, by Andrew ? - it has good content, but not well written. If you work with kids, you should read it.

Allison DuBois - from Medium. She has three books out. Very interesting... I just lost my grandmother, so I was a captive audience.

The kids and I are going to the library tomorrow, so thank you for all the great ideas!

I got a book by Wally Lamb last time, and was really excited, because I adore She's Come Undone, but it was not his work, but rather work he had done with female prisoners. I teach 8th grade ELA - I get to read student essays all year long, I am not interested in spending my free time that way. LOL

I don't know if these will fall into the types of books you are looking for. I usually read the murder mystery, court room drama type books. I also love the Harry Potter books. A few times I have gone away from that. But, one book I loved was Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Its actually a little hard to read b/c its heartbreaking and a little haunting (the begining is at least), but its sooooo good. I couldn't put it down.

Tonight, I'm starting the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. There are 4 books in it right now and there is a movie coming out on book 1 this fall/winter. I'm not sure what to expect of this or what kind of read it is, but I've heard SO many people talk about how much they love this series. I think its a love story and it has a vampire in it. This is totally not what I usually read, but I had to pick it up since I've heard so much good stuff about it.

At the airport I picked up At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks. It was a really good book. I couldn't put it down. I read the entire 2 1/2 hr flight and finished the book the next afternoon. I kept wanting to read more.
I like all of the movies that were based on his books, so I figured an actual book would be good!
The book is about an engaged couple, she's pg, and about all of there ups and downs leading up to the marriage, the birth, and overcoming cards your dealt in life. Alot of twists that make you want to keep reading to find out what's going on. I never thought it would end the way it did.

Hi amelia,
How's the book coming for you, I'm almost finished with the audiobook of it, I almost wish my drive was longer so I can finish it already. I've got the second book on my ipod as well. My husband knows I go insane with the traffic to work , so he bought three books in the series . The last book just came out and the other was at our local Walmart , but at the time we had no idea the book was at all interesting....I regret not getting her to sign it then.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the book though...

I have gotten through the first 2 pages. I have a hard time sitting down and just reading b/c I get distracted by some TV show, but I got the book in hopes that I would just sit down and read once the kids go to bed. I'm still working on the last Harry Potter book too. I've been reading it (or trying to read it) since it came out. I'm about 1/4 of the way through that. I'm gonna make myself sit down and read some tonight. As I get further through the book, I'll let you know what I think.
