Trista, this ONE lady said that...but that's ONE person.....it doesn't mean she's right.....go to another firm and talk to them. forget these bozo's, they obviously don't need your cash....

cuz manpower is one of those firms where you pay for the job out of your paycheck right (once you get the job)?

No, you don't pay for manpower. Unfortunately, cookeville is so small, they don't have many. I did register with another one and that went much better, but she said they have very few administrative jobs so it may take a while. I also checked Crossville and they only had one that did manufactoriing. No administrative.

Looks like if I need a job, I'm down to searching through the paper.

I've never heard of a staffing agency - manpower included - wanting people who are "working right now." That has to be BS. Their purpose is to find work for people who AREN'T working.

Sorry to hear about all this hogwash Trista (havent used that word in a while). It sounds like this lady was scared off by your sig. Some people are afraid of anything that is different from them. I would try and find a different employer. It stinks that they do not consider you 'working and employed' just because your at home. You could definitely have a suit on your hands. Its not worth your time though. I would erase the sig and apply somewhere else. I think your job is really cool and interesting. I hope you can find a fun job where the people aren't so tightazz...
