Spring type cleaning....

We had a basement up north, but not enough storage down here. Yep, I am in a bad mood right now, but I have been thinking about this for awhile. We are holding on to so many large items, just because they were given to us. Well, we don't want them, and they are taking up space. We store a lot because we have kids both sexes and we reuse the clothes, especially nice dresses or church clothes.

We have a sleigh crib that was given to us for my first as a present. Everyone is telling me I can't get rid of it, but we really haven't used it for the last 3 or so kids. Instead, we have found that works for us is this small metal crib and a portable playpen type thing (can't remember what it is called). I wouldn't mind keeping it, if we had the room, but we don't.

We also have pictures that my grandma willed to me that are antique of people in my family that I don't even know their names. Our house is no longer antique style, but quite honestly, the frames are a mess, I don't know the people, and it just doesn't mean anything to me. My memories of my grandmother aren't in material goods. So, I was thinking of asking my dad if someone wanted those things, if not, I was going to put them in a garage sale or donate them. There is also a beat-up, but antique hutch and cabinet....not safe with kiddos.

I have just too much stuff! anyone else feel like that? I am tired of feeling cluttered!.....especially holding on to stuff that I don't want and don't need.

So, how awful is it if I would just give it away or sell it? I just can't even stand to look at it anymore.
