Drama at my house this morning

3:30 am ish, my dog, Chance, goes crazy barking and wakes me up. I try to ignore him and go back to sleep but he keeps doing the "woof, woof" like a snooze alarm every few mins. Finally I get up, ready to muzzle him. Look outside the window. There is a wrecked car in my front yard and six police cars (with blue lights and headlights, no sirens) in the street. The car "lost control" (ice??) spun around on the road. Went through the neighbors mailbox and yard backwards. Hit our tree with it's rear end. Spun around and stopped about 5 feet from our guest bedroom window. Wow!

The yard is a mess from the car and the tow truck. Glass everywhere. Bumper pieces and tail light covers were left. The tree has a chunk out of it down at the base.

The police were horrible to us. We turned on our front porch light. Went out on the porch when the tow truck came. Tried to stay out of their way while they worked. Called Assistance for information, but they wouldn't tell us anything. They were not even going to come tell us what was going on before they left. Finally, I chased down the last patrol car as it was going to leave and asked the cop what was going on. He was mean!! Every question I asked him, he responded with "why do you want to know." Dumb ass because there is a wrecked car in my yard and I have a right to know criminal activity in my neighborhood. I called the station this morning wanting to talk to the supervisor. He hasn't returned my call yet. I have a meeting with the Mayor of Nashville (work related) on Thursday, if I don't talk to someone, it just might come up in casual conversation.
