Default Thoughts on Volvo's ??

Hi , just wanted to ask if anybody drives a Volvo? My DH and I are looking for a vehicle. He totaled his truck on the way home from STL from Upgrading!! He passed He was driving home in a ice storm and he lost control and it was not good. Luckily he is OK but in a lot of pain from getting beat around. I really like the XC90 Volvo, (SUV) I thought the safety of volvo's were really good? Any thoughts?? Thanks!! Tracey

Hi! I have had a v70 (not cross country) for 3 years now....I LOVE IT! DH bought me a volvo for the safety and the fact that he loves volvos- he still has his old 1990 740turbo in the garage waiting for him to put a new clutch in it! I tell my husband everyday that I feel so safe when I close the door to my car, it just feels like a tank! Now that we have our new son, I am so glad we got the volvo.

I love everything about my car, it has been a great car. Although we were talking about the xc90's last week (we are planning on moving up to central NH and we think we will need a truck....) and he said from all the volvo message boards he is on (which is alot!) he hasn't heard good things about the xc90. I'll ask him specifics when he gets home on Wednesday but I know the volvo enthusiasts aren't crazy about the xc90. The xc70 (cross country) has awesome reviews. I am trying to get DH to go and look at one but we haven't had my car long and it is hard to get rid of a car that has been so good and still has 2 years left in its warrenty.

Good luck!

I was gonna get an XC90 back when i bought my X5.. the only reason i didn't get it was because i didn't think the engine was that powerful for the weight of the SUV...and because at the time, they were new and the salesman was trying to bowl me over into signing and waiting for 5 months...i wasn't about to do that.

I'd say the XC90 is a nice car.. you see them driving A LOT over here in phx.

Do you know of any problems with the T6 ?? I read that the 2.5 T are good. I wanted to buy a used one with low miles. Do you think over 50,000 is a bad idea?? I know volvo's are suppposed to last a long long time. The dealer told us he would look for a used one, they didn't have any right now, he said he had 4 in a few weeks ago and they all sold in a few days!! I hope he can find one!
Thanks!~
Tracey
