| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | So Lafayette, TN is the town that took a big hit w/ tornadoes yesterday. Mistress Trista, I know you live in central TN. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. How about any other southern ladies? Everything OK? And now comes the snow part of the storm. Folks in IA, IL, and MI are getting buried. How's the snow in MI, ladies? | Tornados went by and around us too on the south side of Nashville. The winds were horrible, though. We had branches down everywhere!! All the porch furniture was blown across the yard. My little dog was scared out of her mind watching and listening for a horrible death to befall us all. |

| The tornado that hit Memphis took out a shopping mall less than a mile from my work. I was at home when it came through but the wind was still unreal. Thankfully, eveyone we know personally suffered only property damage, but there have been several / many fatalities. It's such a shame. They started giving severe weather warnings very early in the day, but I guess some buildings weren't strong enough. It was scary when the tornoadoes were really close-by. We camped out in the closet for several hours. Had the survival kit, dog leashes, shoes on, the whole bit. By some miracle, DH was home at the time, so I wasn't too afraid. I would have been much more stressed if I'd been alone. Glad it's over. Everybody, make sure you have a plan! |

| Member | The weather got a little rough here in central KY. My family in and around Nashville said about the same as katbaud. I wanted to mention, I had friends at Union University who lost everything they had--clothes, cars, laptops, books, etc. Thankfully they were okay and they are home safe now, but just keep the students at Union University in your prayers.
