| That the proportion of negatives to positives in the stickies above is 5 to 1?! 226 I hate it whens... 42 It sucks to be me... And only 50 I love it...!! Venting has its place of course, and God knows the aviation world brings its fair share of reasons to vent - but so does counting our blessings and looking for silver linings! We must all have a lot of things to be happy about - from the big things like good marriages, healthy kids, jobs we love to the tiny things like a partner getting an extra day off, or a phone call with your mother that doesn't make you want to kill her (!!) - how about we make a concerted effort to celebrate the things that go right this year! And my happy thought for the day is - I spent the weekend down with my oldest friend and family. We walked, ate, played in rockpools, danced on the sand, drank, laughed. Lani the 4 year old dressed up in her pink Power Rangers' outfit and acted out a recent plot, Maya the 7 year old told me the secret about fairies living in a sparkly necklace I gave her - it was fantastic! Who else has got something to be thankful for? |

| Things I am thankful for at work, since that is where I am at right now. . . The pastel wire contiars that hold rubber bands, paper clips, and post its. The order of it all makes me happy. The windows in my office. Even though it has been gray everyday, the views from 14 stories up in downtown Nashville are really beautiful. And all I have to do is look up from whatever I am doing and see them. Anti-bacterial hand gel and disinfecting wipes because I don't have to worry about everyone else's germs in my space. |

| Jetgirls Member | I am grateful to be dating someone who treats me well. I just attended the wedding of a friend who is marrying a serious sleaze ball and it made me feel sad for her, but relieved for me. I am always happy to see my dog's grinning face when I walk in after work. I am glad that I have a few days to catch up on papers that need to be graded. My kids are taking finals, so I can sit quietly at my desk and update myself. I am excited to be going out to dinner with my best friend since high school this Thursday. Mmm...Cheesecake Factory!

| I'm glad Ian is flying here instead of in Iraq or Afghanistan. And having a job I like is pretty cool, too.

| My DH and and my kids. Chocolate! ![]() At first I wasn't thankful that DH lost his job with an airline back east 3 years ago. I was scared and we were pregnant with our first child. But, even though it was a stressful time in our lives and that first year pay at skywest was really hard, I am thankful that he lost his job. It gave us the chance to move here to Colorado. I love it here so much. We also live by my IL's who are wonderful and amazing people. Its given DH the chance to become a CA (he didn't have that chance at his old airline, and who know's when he would have had that chance). It also made our marriage stronger.

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I'm thankful that I have a job that I enjoy, even if it doesn't pay enough! And I work with great people which also makes it good. And I am greatful for my health! Everyone around me is sick and I'm not! I feel bad for them, but I'm glad I don't have it!

| Admin/Owner ![]() | I am thankful for answering machines and voicemail. This friend i had years ago, that i've stayed away from because "she's no good for me" (my determination, nobody else's), is starting to call me again. she just says hi...was calling to see if i'm ok...call her back if i get a chance...nothing more than that, nothing that seems overly important and that's really about it. she's calling once a week if not more often and i'm really not sure what to do about it...but anyways, i'm not a mean person (at least i don't think so), but honestly, i don't want this person back in my life... so today, i'm thankful for voicemail.. tomorrow, i'll be thankful for something else. ![]()
