| So, most of you don't know this, but I was Miss Vermont 2006 and competed at Miss America 2007. Kind of a fluke thing--I decided to enter a pageant and uh...won! Anyways, Miss America 2008 is almost here and TLC is airing a new reality show over the next four weeks featuring the 52 contestants. I'm SO excited because the rumor is that Miss Vermont 2007 will be featured a lot in the first episode which airs at 10pm tonight. Her name is Rachel Ann and she's SUCH a sweetheart. Micheal Urie from Ugly Betty hosts the show with special appearances by the What Not To Wear gurus (LOVE that show!) and a other celebrities/pros... Here are a link: Miss America: Reality Check You all should check it out!! (There's no smiley with a crown--but the wave'll do!) haha...

| Well, I didn't really compete "to win"...I just told myself to do my best, have as much fun as possible and to enjoy myself--and that's what I did! It was a very unique and exciting experience...can't say i would want to do it all over again...but it's great cocktail party conversation (haha) and I'm proud to be a part of the whole "Miss Vermont/Miss America sisterhood" thing. That's the best part. I also earned about 8 grand in scholarship $ for school--ALWAYS helpful! Now, it's kind of fun to have put my experience behind me and to support my predecesor (sp?)!
