Well, Im a SUV Chevy driving momma. I use my SUV ,if I didnt have 4 wheel drive I would be stuck with no way to get up my driveway. Also I must get to dog shows regardless of snow,mud etc.... I am jealous of all you green driving city folk, must be nice to save on gas. Im sure as with all things commercial, one gets green statice with the hybrid, however is driving a hybrid an oxymoron when one drives a jet ...LOL...Joy

Ok, so not everyone agrees w/ or identifies w/ what I've been seeing re: hybrid vehicles, but I just had to share this w/ you all. If you have 20 minutes and have a good sense of humor, you're going to love this South Park episode:

Why the anger and hate?????

I would get a horse or walk, but us tree hugging hippies are afraid of getting runover by monster SUV's.

as a "light" tree hugger, i don't see anger and hate...just stereotyping

I'm sure a majority of tree huggers would like to get a horse and go that route, just that it's not an economical solution since most places don't have hitching posts nor a place for the horse to stay while they're at work... which is part of the reason we now have green machines...other than joining greenpeace or the sierra club, we like to feel that we're doing *something* to help.

If you really want to understand *why* you'd want to be a tree hugger, watch Planet Earth and that'll really help you relate to how/why our climate is changing and that any one major change in the world affects everyone else. it's an AWESOME documentary (esp on an HD screen).

that's what *i* thought which was part of the reason i commented...

but honestly, poop is already a composted mix.. so all you have to do is add it to your garden and watch those veggies GROW! (now, doesn't that just wanna make you eat your vegetables tonight?! hehe)
