well, if there's anything i can admit.. it's that i didn't create the program...I just installed it and luckily, i know enuff backend info to be able to take it out. I should be able to get to it sometime between tomorrow and friday

as far as the member rating goes, i think i can find a way to turn it off but it's actually part of the main software so i have no idea where to delete it....i'll try tho.

It's not a big deal at all if you want to get rid of it or not.

Kristie, is this thanks feature a part of phpbb (I think that's the software you're using) or is it just a part of this holiday skin? I don't recall seeing the thanks feature w/ the default/original skin for jetgirls. If its just a part of this temporary holiday skin, I wouldn't worry about removing the feature since we'll be back to the original look/feel before long.

I don't care either way. I've never been one to worry about my "ranking" anywhere I am. If I never get thanked, it won't stop me from posting my opinion. Like it or not, I got one, and I ain't afraid to share it! LOL! Just kiddin'

That said, someone made a good point above - it's a temp. board, so it'll be gone soon, anyway. I didn't even think about that.

I agree that having the thanks in the postbit (under the avatar) is odd... i'm not sure why they created it that way... the only thing i can think of is because it'll allow people to find helpful threads faster if it's been "thanked" in...that's the only thing i can see..but i did take it off, so you'll only find that info under the member's profile now!

The Thanks feature is a new "hack" i found for the forum software itself... it'll be on the old skin as well when we switch back to it at the beginning of next year (wow.. that was weird to say.. haha).

You all know me well enough now to know that i like "messin" with the board, adding new features to see if they'd be of any help or fun....if there's a feature you don't like, don't think is helpful or what not, let me know and i'll see if i can change it. for instance, i'm not sure the pager/IM function is being used all that much.. myself, i don't find it that helpful and i have no idea how many people actually use it, but if you all do, then i'll leave it
