Default It happened again...

At least no one was killed this time, but several people lost their belongings.

ksl.com - Natural Gas Leak Causes Apartment Fire

"Harmon says she smelled gas for days and called the complex management. They didn't fix it, so Tuesday a Questar representative came to investigate.

"He was doing his tests and said he was going to check his machinery. And about a half hour later there was a huge explosion," Harmon said."

PLEASE, if you think this is uncommon, or not likely to happen to you, please just be pre-cautious anyway, and put a detector in your home, and never stay in an area where you smell gas.

Now that is just scary!
I have a very overactive sniffer. I can smell things that hubby can't even smell.
We do have detectors and extinguishers everywhere in this house!
Thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you are safe Brenda!

Just an FYI though, don't always count on the smell, if the detector is going off but you don't smell anything, get out anyway. There was no odor in my SIL's home because the gas came up through the frozen ground in through cracks in the basement. The odor was trapped in the ground and didn't come into the house.

If you suspect a leak, call the fire dept! I work for one, we go on these calls all the time!
