Default caffeine

Let me start this thread by prefacing I'm not a coffee drinker. I get my caffeine by consuming chocolate, pop, or tea, of which none is over-abundant or habitual.

So, this afternoon I took a mid-day break for a pick-me-up. I decided to try one of those new McDonald's iced coffee drinks that I've seen advertised. I figured I'd like it since they have flavor options (I chose hazelnut) and it would be laden w/ creamy sugar and thereby "dilute" the caffeine. Boy was I wrong! I only drank 1/4 of it (smallest size they offer) and was all a-jitter!! Yikes! Don't like that feeling.

I was telling my honey about this and he showed me this website: Death by Caffeine
This cracks me up! Enter your quaff of choice and your weight and it calculates how many cans/bottles etc.. you would need to consume to give up the ghost. Of course, its surely not too realistic, as you'd likely die from some other cause, before the caffeine, e.g. simply consuming the sheer volume of liquid. In any event, give it a whirl. It's a good laugh!

I'm gonna need about 85 cups of coffee to kill me....I think I'll be alright then.
I drink about 3 cups a week and that's pushing it.
hmmm...I forgot about green tea though, I love that stuff ....I guess I'll die from too much detoxing green tea then

I would need 83 cups...LOL.

I'm not far from that. I've drank as much as 4 POTS of coffee in one day. Can you believe after drinking all that I could still go to sleep?? LOL. Now, if I don't drink coffee within a couple of hours of waking up, I get headaches.

That's sad..LOL.

lol, I would need way over 300 and some cans of coke. I think my teeth would fall out before I could actually drink that many.
My dh could drink so much coffee and it doesn't affect him. Give him a coke and he's up all night!

I would have to have 375.87 cans of coke...i'm not a big coffee drinker simply because it does tend to always give me the jitters and then lets me down hard, so i only use it as a nighttime treat.

but coke (o-cola, that is)...used to be addicted, now i'm not since i still only allow myself 1 if not none a day.

Nice will-power Kristie! I started drinking only the mini cans ... 8oz cans. Now I've begun to ween myself from those, too. But its TOUGH.

Hmm I can only drink 51 cups of SoBe No Fear until I am dead. Not sure how I feel about that one. I don't drink them often but when I need a pick me up I drink them.

97.5 shots of espresso and I'd be "pushing up daisies", according to the site!
