Good Luck Amanda! - Page 3

THis afternoon I received an invite for my 2nd interview.... which is scheduled for tomorrow!!! I am one of only a few people selected for the 2nd interview so I feel good, but I am stressing out (again)!

The person I am interviewing with is known to be a real difficult interview. He is VERY serious and rarely smiles. He also uses a tactic where he pulls negative info on you ('opportunity areas' on our annual reviews) and then asks about it. I know he wants to see if you remain composed so I will need to remain poised and calm.
Wish me luck- this is going to be a tough one!

You can do it. Remember, come up with positive spins, positive outcomes and keep it short and to the point! Call me if you need to get some feedback or if you need me to grill you down to the real issues!

I'm taking a break from my prepping to check in. Thanks for the well wishes! I've heard from others that there is no way to prepare for an interview with this guy. He's going to grill me! All I know is that everything coming out of my mouth will be positive! I'm qualified for this job and I'm going to do my best to get it!

Amanda - shine above the tough guy, make it tough for him to turn it negative - I would consider it a personal goal!!

yea yea.. just like everyone else said -> YOU can DO IT!

now go tackle that interview tomorrow and don't even give them a chance to say no...

oh and about "no smiley man", walk in with a short joke and see if you can't crack that thing.
