Default Coupon savy...

Just wanted to share something: I belong to a website called refund cents that tells you all the deals going on with groceries, etc. There is also a free site called couponmom.com, but anyway, they tell you all the local deals and how to get things for pretty cheap. At publix, you can combine their coupons with manufactured coupons. Today, I went to publix and bought 10 packs of Ball Park Frank hotdogs and only paid $0.94 total.

For instance, this next week's coupon ads that are coming out have 2.00 off excederin. Winn Dixie has it on sale for 1.99, so if you use the coupon, it is free.

Just wanted to share with everyone a good deal.

I LOVE a great grocery deal and I LOVE coupons! I have been using them for years, Quite honestly it has been the best thing for our family- especially considering what DH's income was when he changed careers and became a pilot. This momma had to stretch that dollar and this was the best way I knew. I have learned MANY tricks along the way.

Do the stores in your area double and triple the coupons? Gotta love those deals. My favorite though is when I am buying some items with a coupon and they are giving ME money back at the register. This doesn't happen as often as it used to, but to walk away from the store with freebies and money in my pocket- WHAT A DEAL!

Thanks for sharing- I love hearing coupon success stories.

I have a friend that only spends about 400 in groceries a month; that is even eating everything organic. She is so coupon savy! She is the one that has gotten me started. She said that she never has to pay for diapers because she is able to combine coupons with good deals. Did I mention she has 7 kids and still only pays 400.00 a month in groceries! At first, I thought she must be eating p and j or mac and cheese, but when she told me what she eats, I was amazed. She stockpiles all her free things and has a garage sale 2ce a year...she makes $8000 in the garage sale!!!!!

WHAT...ok I know coupons really do pay off in the long run...and I do my best and cutting them and searching online and using the store deals...but sometimes I just forget...shoot, I've really wanted to keep up with them because the BF in training (and FO 1st yr pay) and me still in college paying out of state tuition, we don't bring in the big $$$...I do save a lot just eating pbj for lunch (I really LOVE pbj so I don't mind) but shoot...I've heard of shopper actually getting money back from a big grocery ordeal, but then again this women had like a 5inch binder, catalogued of all the coupons she had, she surfed the net religiously, all while taking care of her 1 child...so in that case, I can see it doable...but really, I'm going to do it more often...

If you join a site, like I mentioned, they do most of the work for you...all you have to do is cut out the coupons, or in some cases, just get the blinkie coupon in front of the item!

My friend that does it has 7 kids, homeschools, and has a husband that is gone most of the week!

I know what you mean... or it is an expensive brand that I would never buy. Also, most coupons want you to buy more than one of the item. I shop for myself, and a pilot who is gone 4 days of the week... so I don't need 4 boxes of General Mills cereal to save one whole dollar. But some coupons are worth it, like frozen foods that I can keep for a long time.

okay, this is just a sample of what I bought this week, and yes these are items we use...12 boxes of excederin (all free with coupon---24 count boxes). 10 packs of ball park frank hotdogs (9 cents a pack)., glade air frshner worth 10.99 for .99.......thiss took about 15 minutes extra of my time to clip the coupons, file them, and go to the grocery(where I already needed to go)

I am really into couponing. I feed a family of 6 on about 50 a week. I never pay for tolietries either. Stacking coupons from stores and manufactures and doubles and triples are the best!

Oh, and my dh coupons out on trips. He spends about 15 per trip and eats better than most.

I miss the double and double bonus that they have up north! they do not even double down here in florida. www.refundcents.com and www.couponmom.com are both good sites to find great deals.
