| I use Coupons, Grocery Coupons - TheGroceryGame.com. Its a pay site, $10 every 8 weeks, but they do all the work for you. It has saved me at least $100 every 8 weeks, so its well worth it. |

| No way, I rebate everything I can. Walgreens has Free Rebate stuff once a month. CVS has ECB bucks which is kind of a rebate deal.

| Admin/Owner ![]() | ok... i'm bringing the coupon thread back to life cuz now that gas and food are much higher...it's given me much more incentive to get sharp on saving as much dough as possible. Any other coupons sites that are good that we could all use? I'm actually in the home decor/remodeling mood now (it's summer, time to stay and do things indoors) so i'm wondering if there are any sites that can help with those costs?

| Oh, I must have missed this thread...I love saving money, so I would love if anyone has any other tips than these: Kristie, cvs has monthly deals and weekly deals. Never pay for toothpaste, toothbrushes (the normal oral b or crest kind), excederin, tylenol, or motrin. These are all things that you can get free with coupons (or even make money by buying them). Razors, and I am talking the nice ones like the fusion power or things like that are typically free or maybe a dollar or two. Don't pay more than that. For instance, last week Target had buy a fusion power razor and get 5.00 back on a target card. I had a 4.00 off coupon. The razor was 7.99 or something like that. So, after my coupon, I paid 3.99 plus tax, but I got 5.00 back on a target card. I actually knew the paper had a lot of coupons, so I bought 8 papers. I made money and got the razors that are typically about 10.00 each. We donated them to our seminarians because they can never afford a nice razor. I was already going to buy a couple of outfits at Target for my son's birthday, so I just used the cards for that. Basically, I didn't spend any more money than I was already going to spend, but I was able to get all the razors for free...minus cost for paper (50 cents a paper here, but I would have bought that many that week anyway). I can't stand rebates because I always forget to turn them in....too much on my mind, I guess. Groceries---some stores have bogo sales (buy one get one free). I didn't realize this until last year, but a lot of stores let you use 2 coupons on the deal. One for the one you are buying, and one for the one you are getting free. For instance, say they are having granola bars on sale bogo. You buy 2 boxes. One is free. You can still use 2 coupons. This makes things you are going to buy a lot cheaper. We buy most of our meat at Winn Dixie because they have meat bogo a lot. We don't eat a lot of red meat, mostly chicken, but we stock up when it is bogo. We buy our salmon at Sam's club (best tasting and best price around here). If you see a blinkie (flashing red light coupons at the store) while you are shopping, and it is something you use, grab them and keep it in your file. This will go on sale, and although you don't need it then, you will need it in the future. The key is to wait for a sale and combine it with a coupon. Don't wait for when you need it because then you will buy it when it isn't on sale and pay too much. I like the following sites for deals: hotcouponworld.com , iheartcvs.com, slickdeals.com , and refundcents.com . Refundcents is a paid site, but well worth it. I don't like the grocerygame.com. I joined it for a month and couldn't stand it when all the information was on the other sites for free. You also have to pay additional for each grocery store you want to see the ads for.....it may work for other people, but just doesn't work for me. That's all I can think of right now. |

| Jo, Do you have a cvs near you? They typically have some great diaper sales. Some weeks they have spend 25 in huggies products and get 10 extra bucks back. Use your diaper coupons, a cvs coupon, and then send the reciept to caregivers marketplace that gives you a dollar back for each pack you buy, and it makes some really good deals on diapers. I only like huggies (I hate pampers...they seem to be made cheap and you use a lot more), but I will use cvs brand sometimes if it is their supreme diapers....they go on sale bogo sometimes, combine with a cvs brand coupon for like 3.00 off 10.00 cvs brand, a cvs savings coupon of 4.00 off 20 that they send for updating e-mails, and it makes a pack of diapers only a few dollars. Sign up for all the mailing lists...huggies, pampers, all your local stores baby clubs (includes grocery stores like publix---publix sends you free coupons for things like yo-baby yogurt, butter lotion for mom, rubbing alcohol, 1.00 off fruit, etc.), nestle good start, similac, enfamil, etc. Even if you think you will not use the formula, sign up. You never know what will happen. This is your first baby, so they will send you a bunch of really good samples and coupons...like 11.00 off formula, etc. Hope this helps,.... Regina |
