Question Gift Ideas?

Couldn't figure out where to put this thread, so I chose "Coffee Talk"!

Paul's birthday is September 10th.

-interesting aside- My birthday is March 10 - exactly 6 months later (well, and 3 years), which makes us polar opposites. AND... he's an ESTP on the Myers-Briggs assessment, while I'm an INFJ. Again, polar opposites. Guess it's true that opposites attract. -end of interesting aside-

I've purchased his gifts: PhotoShop Element and an additional manual (cuz I heard the Adobe one sucks). Not the most romantic gift, but he's BIG into digital photography, and it gets kinda tiresome watching him erase an image one pixel at a time on Paint. Hee.

Anyway, I also want to have something delivered to him at work because his birthday is on a Monday, and deliveries are always fun and exciting. Last Valentine's Day, I had this huge assortment of Mrs. Field's cookies and brownies sent to him, but I want to mix it up at least a little this year. Any ideas? I thought about a plant, but he doesn't really have any windows by his cubicle, and he won't be spending much more time in it anyway. Plants aren't exactly appropriate for "airplane offices", I suppose. I've looked at candy baskets, cookie baskets, lollipop bouquets, everything... anyone have an idea I haven't thought of?

Secondly, I want to get Paul something fun and at least slightly aviation-related when he finds out his application was approved, and he's moving forward to the line. Any thoughts? I'm at an absolute loss on this one. Something practical but funny or cute or especially creative would be awesome.

Not too demanding, am I?

Is he into weather? If he is, there are some pretty cool weather-readers out there that show temp., barometric pressure, etc.

As for the delivery - oy. No idea. I don't even know what I would have delivered to Ian. Lunch, maybe. His favorite sandwich, or something. (?) Hmm... a basket of some kind. What's a good thing to stick in a basket?

I'm blank.

Okay, an idea! I found this for Paul's birthday. What do you think? I just wish there was some way to GUARANTEE it would be delivered on his birthday and not before or after...

It's the one called Hometown Favorites' Favorite:

The Candy Store

Those are too cute! Pretty much any guy would love a basket full of candy!!!!! This may not be a good thing for all guys, but check out Vermont Teddy Bears, I believe they even have a pilot one. Like I said, depends on your guy... some may not like getting a teddy bear.
