| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Roz I would definetly got to Sweden and pick it up! I love my Volvo (I have a 2004 v70 2.5t). When we buy a new one (we bought my car 1 year old.....saved a ton of money though) we want to go to Sweden to pick it up. I would love to tour the Volvo factory. DH still has his 1990 volvo......its just sitting waiting for him to put a new clutch (he finally got the transmission loose last month). I bet you can't wait! You have a s40 right now right? |

| Yup, I just registered my S 40 for the 100,000 mile club! DH will take that down to Florida. My sister worked for Ford so I still get the employee discount on the new vehicle plus $1500 back on my Citicard--it is substantial! What convinced me was my recent accident in which I was rear ended. I barely felt anything. I had $1500 in damages. The other car that hit me was totaled! I love my Volvo! But I didn't love what they had on the lot (nd they ran a nationwide search and found nothing). They had no manual transmissions and had the package with a real simulated wood grain interior. GAG. So, In looking at a 2006 with 7000 miles on it with leather seats but an automatic, 2007 with no leather seats and an automatic and ordering what we wanted, we spend $2,000 over the 2006, $1,000 over the 2007 and got what I wanted! |

| My sister was the Director of Women's Marketing at Ford. She retired and I still get her discount forever (as long as Ford is in business). Ford owns Volvo. So I get to buy Volvo's at my sister's discount. This LOADED car cost me $27,000 and I still have further discounts. It will be $25,000 when I am done. We keep our cars forever so that may seem like a lot but we want the car to last 15 years! It doesn't cost anything to get into the 100,000 mile club because it is expected that Volvo's will go to 500,000 miles! |
